About this episode
Saint Petersburg Florida is home to the Dalí Museum ( Salvador ) Ex Dir speaks with Rhett about Vincent van Gogh while the traveling show on Vincent was being featured. One of Rhett’s favorite Vincent van Gogh work is the sparse , one room Vincent rented and painted. Due to family alcoholism at 14 Rhett was relegated to such a rooming house with his total living space that included one single bed and chest of draws. There was a shared kitchen area approximately 6 foot by 6 foot. He reared himself without any adult supervision. The painting fed his visceral connection to the troubled artist.
