Europol Busts International Waste Trafficking Ring

Europe pole just wrapped up a huge international bust on organized crime rings, trafficking illegal waste. More than 330 people were arrested across 70 countries. The operation focused on networks moving illicit waste around Europe, and shipping it off to Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Authorities grabbed over 127,000 metric tons of waste in the raid. They also seized 602 tons of polluting agents, 75 tons of plant protection chemicals, 2.3 tons of mercury, and clothes. To 10 million euros in cash, and bank accounts. These gangs pose serious risks by faking documents and committing fraud to transport hazardous stuff.
