About this episode
DIY Projects Living a self-sufficient lifestyle means recognizing that every dollar saved is a dollar you don't need to earn. It's simple math: the less you spend, the less you have to make. Yet, many people overlook this concept and continue to spend unnecessarily on things they could easily do themselves. That's why I'm a big fan of DIY projects. Here on the farm, there are plenty of tasks we could pay someone else to do, but my partner and I have figured out how to tackle them ourselves. By doing so, we save money that can be put towards essential expenses or investments that require specialized expertise. It's all about maximizing the value of every dollar earned on the farm. When we reduce off-farm expenses, the money we make here can stretch much further, allowing us to focus on what truly matters and invest in areas where our skills or time are better utilized.
