John Flaherty attended the college of Steubenville in 1974. He would become part of the Music Ministry in the community of God's Love in 1975, and join the local Covenant Community in 1977. About the same time, the Covenant community submitted itself to the word of God Covenant community for formation and training. In 1990 he would resign his membership in the Servants of Christ, the King, a Branch of the Sword of the Spirit.
In 2009 he began posting documents that he had collected over the years on the Internet at scribd.com. in 2011 he would create the Facebook group, Covenant community, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly to highlight and discuss those documents.
Today he resides in Grand Island, Nebraska with his wife Dawn, their dog, Moose, and 9 chickens!
