When we last left off, high school economics teacher Ken Webster was nearly a year into renovating the 18th Century home he had purchased in the early 1980s. After experiencing strange poltergeist-like activity such as footprints on walls and dark shadow figures lurking in the night, Ken and his girlfriend Debbie would begin to experience something even stranger: typed messages left on his computer, seemingly from a man living in the 1500s. As time wore on and the messages became harder and harder to follow, the man behind the messages would begin appearing to Debbie in her dreams. Then, even more people would begin communicating through the computer screen, namely, two time travelers calling themselves "2109" and "The One". 2109 would eventually tell Ken and Debbie that they were part of a scientific experiment.
