通常安排在表演開始時，做為開場炒熱氣氛的樂曲。
有些八音班別出新意將其改編為「絃索樂」演出，
由嗩吶主奏、絲絃和打擊樂器伴奏，將原本喧騰歡鬧的大開門，
呈現出婉轉柔美的另一番風情。
