Ep. 186 - The War Nobody Voted For

1:01But first it's going to burn right here. Welcome, welcome to another episode of the Cruel philosopher podcast. I'm your host. You want to know me, the Cruel philosopher here. Bringing you another episode of this podcast. Oh, yeah. Happy Thursday. Happy Thursday to you all. Happy Thursday. It feels good to be back behind a microphone as usual. Or I'm able to come here and sit and really kind of, you know, get some shit off that I feel like is important for me to talk about. But also important for you to listen to. That's kind of why we're all here. And today, to no surprise, I want to speak about the Iran Israel and US war that is taking place in the Middle East. If you're watching the news, you know, you kind of know the justification is that I'll be being given for this war. There are a variety of them. You know, one being that the Iranians were weeks away from a nuclear weapon.

2:01Another being that they were going to attack America. And so this was a preemptive attack to that. To free the Iranian people from this oppressive regime. None of this is true, by the way. None of the reasons that you were being given for this are true or honest. These are all just after the fact justifications for the war. Because they can't even get their story straight. Right? You hear one thing from Marco Rubio. You hear one thing from Keith Hesseck. You hear one thing from Donald Trump. This, you know, you can actually, you hear multiple things from Donald Trump, depending on the day and the newspaper that he's talking to. All of this is alive, though. We're in a war right now with Iran, because Israel wants a war with Iran. That's it. That's the story. I don't know what else to tell you. And I understand people being annoyed by my, when you say that, because there has been kind of this thing going on where everything is Israel's fault. And Israel is responsible for, you know, everything that's happening.

3:03Some of it is being driven by, you know, anti-Semitism, of course. But for this specific situation, it is clear that we are at war with Iran because of Israel. And I hate it. I hate it. I've been consumed by the war for, I think it was Sunday, Sunday morning, or Sunday night, whatever. Like, you know, they dropped the bomb over there in the middle of the day, the first bombing. But over here in America, it was like midnight, or it's one of morning. It was super late, because I was getting into bed, and I saw the story. And I just got really, you know, sad and depressed. And I've been in this cycle where I'm trying to consume all the content about this war because that's not healthy. So I do want to take some time to myself and kind of, you know, detach a little bit. But I also want to stay informed about this war and what's happening because, to me, it's very important. And the most distressing part about all of this, I think, for me, is the fact that it seems like, and maybe it's been this way for a while,

4:06you know, we've been slowly walking towards this end. But it seems like the people truly don't matter anymore when it comes to deciding most things in that country, right? Like, you see at a time where they'll say, oh, you know, this many percent of Americans are in favor of Medicare for all, right? And it never gets voted on or this many Americans support background checks and it never goes anywhere. So we're used to situations where, you know, a lot of Americans are in favor of something, but it never gets voted on and never gets passed, right? So we live in that world, but I don't know. Maybe because it's war, I kind of thought, you know, when the polling came out and it showed that only about like 30% of the country were in favor of bombing Iran and that 30% was heavily on the Republican side where I think they were like split 50, 50 or maybe like 60, 40 in favor of bombing Iran.

5:06But everyone else were like, we were like, no, don't do it. Please don't do it. And he did it. And he ran on not starting any new wars, right? You know, he talked about how the, you know, part of the reason why Trump won the first, his first presidential election was when he was running in the primaries, along with, you know, Jeff Bush and I think Mark Rubio was running that primary. He said Cruz was running that primary. Jeff Bush was kind of viewed as this is the next guy coming up. He's going to take over the party. Like, we forget. We were supposed to be headed for Bush versus Clinton again. Here we Clinton versus Jeff Bush. And Trump kind of, you know, put up in the Jeff Bush thing by just hammering how terrible the war in Iraq was. And I stupid it was, you know, Trump has spoken about and tweeted about regime change being stupid and all of this stuff. And here he goes, getting involved in another Middle Eastern war

6:06that none of them can make up a good lie to convince most of us that this is actually in the interest of the U.S. To go to war when less than 30% of the people that you are the president of, the president of want to do something is not representative, right? But like I said earlier, you know, we've been walking down this path because so many policies and change it to the country that the overwhelming majority of Americans are in favor of and never even gets voted on in Congress. So, yeah. So if we agree that the war is being fought on behalf of Israel, we should have a conversation as to why Israel wants to have this war. Because BB Netanyahu has been trying to petition American presidents for decades to do regime change in Iran. Making the kind of the same excuses and, you know, saying, hey, you know,

7:08they're close to nuclear weapons. They think nuclear weapons is going to be a danger. You know, they chant death to America. You know, but I go stuff right. So he's been on this path for some time now. And the reason why, because it is important for you to know, why would a man consistently try to get America to assist with destroying a country when that country really isn't that big of a threat, so to speak? Israel has the iron dome. They have nuclear weapons, right? They don't tell anybody about they have nuclear weapons, right? They're an ally to America, right? If Iran truly did try to attack them, we would help. Even though I'm not sure if we should help, we would help. And I think the majority of Americans will be in favor of us helping Israel. So again, what is driving Netanyahu to take the offensive to Iran? And I think what is driving him is the fact that Iran stands in Israel's way. It's the only real country that's in the way of Israel eventually implementing the Greater Israel project.

8:15And if you don't know what the Greater Israel project, it is simply kind of a goal, if you will, or a plan that Israel would like to return to kind of biblical borders, actually it out to what they were given by God as their land in the Middle East, right? And you know, who could be against that? You know, like, you know, the chosen people want to get what God gave them? And I'm in the Bible? I can't be against that, can I? Well, you should know, a good chunk of this land that Israel would need to get these old borders, they are other countries now. They run through Iraq, you know, they run through some parts of Syria. In order for them to implement this project, they would have to invade and, you know, take off some chunks of land of a variety of Muslim countries. Now, most of these countries can't really do anything to Israel. They're not strong enough.

9:16They don't have, you know, the technology to really put up a fight against Israel, but I ran can and I ran sponsors, a bunch of, you know, proxies, you know, some of my clothing terrorist groups, right? In countries around Israel or close to Israel's border to prevent Israel from expanding. And so Nanyahu, who was not able to get a variety of presidents to sign on on his attack Iran plan, when Trump finally became president this second time here, he was able to go Trump into attacking Iran with some bombers to destroy their nuclear capabilities or something like that. Remember that last year when Trump did that? And he said that, you know, it was a big success and anyone who was saying that, you know, this stuff wasn't destroyed. They're lying to you. Since then, Israel has been trying to get Trump to hate. You know what, we got to go back in, we got to finish the job and, you know, you know, kind of, you know, coaxing him and working on him. And this is Nanyahu's efforts paying off.

10:19He was able to convince Trump to go ahead and, hey, let's go back to Iran and finish this bad boy. And so that's why Israel is doing this for greater Israel. But why is Trump doing this? Like, why would Trump, the man who ran on no more wars, the man who ran on the Iraq war was stupid? Why would he get involved in a regime change of Iran in his second term, the same year of the midterms for his party? And remember, a war which the majority of the country doesn't want. Why would he do this? One theory is that, you know, Israel is blackmailing Trump. That they have some type of information and evidence related to Trump. Because Trump is going to celebrity for his entire life. And so I'm sure he has done God knows how many debaucherish illegal things.

11:19Things that might be truly apparent that maybe Israel knows about. And they have proof that Trump has engaged in this behavior. And so they're blackmailing Trump into engaging in this conflict, right? So that's one theory. Another theory has to do with religion. And I think this is probably the one that's closest to the truth. A good chunk of people in Trump's cabinet, you know, Pete Hesseck. I believe Trump has this minister or preacher woman that he has in his camp. You have Laura Loomer, right? These are biblical literalists, evangelical fundamentalists. These are individuals who believe the literal word of the Bible, who also believe that in order for Jesus to come back, Israel has to have controlled over the entire Middle East. And so they view these things through a prophetic lens.

12:19This is prophecy. I believe that Trump has been convinced by these people because Trump is a narcissist, right? All you got to do is tell Trump that he looks good in them genes. And he's going to walk in the street and sachet. Sashet his ass off. Yes, girl. That's Trump. And so when we have really just fanatics around you telling you, hey, this is God's will. This is God's plan. You are the one to deliver this, you know, to bring us to this final chapter of the Messiah returning. I think Trump believes it. You know, I was watching Kyle Kalinsky show earlier and he talked about this topic as well. But he kind of positioned Trump as being a non-believer. I don't know, man. I think ever since Trump got shot in the air, he's kind of been more susceptible to a lot of the religious, you know, mumbo jumbo stuff. You know, he talks about it a lot more. He's made multiple comments about that, you know, he's not sure if he'll make it into heaven.

13:22And so I think that stuff is appealing to Trump who might believe that he was spared for some religious reason. And so you have these people around you. I'm telling you, yes, that just especially that you know, you're chosen by God that here says in the book, you know, that, you know, those who bless Israel, you know, will be blessed whatever. And you know, Israel has to be control of the Middle East so that the Messiah could come back. There was a report that came out that said multiple people within the army have been complaining about the overt religious messaging by commanders about how this is a holy war. I think it's that nature. My Johnson has been talking about how this, you know, you know, the Iranians have a terrible religion on something or, you know, misguided religious belief, you know, something like that. This is a thing. And it's a dangerous thing. It's a thing that we don't talk about enough, which is religious fundamentalism. And I think that is the biggest danger today.

14:24And everyone's first comfortable talking about, you know, radical Islamist, right? But no one wants to talk about radical Christians. No one wants to talk about radical Jews. But religious fundamentalism leads to issues like this. It's not some, what's the worst that they can do? This is the worst it can do. You're allowed to believe whatever you want to believe in America. This is a free society. I just don't think you should be anywhere near the seat of power. If you believe that you need to destroy the entire Middle East without Jesus coming back. You don't get to be anywhere near the military in a commanding position. You don't get to be in the president's cabinet office, right? You can't be this close to power and decision making if you believe crazy shit. And that is the category that I put all these people into. You people are crazy and you believe crazy shit. It makes me sad.

15:24Like, I've been really in bed thinking about, you know, what could I possibly do? What could we possibly do to kind of get the country back? Oh, and don't let any, let's not forget Congress. Because the authority to the clear war is supposed to fall on Congress. The founders did that on purpose because they knew allowing a single individual, which is the president, the head of executive, declared war or to decide military actions. You would be leaving yourself open to his various whims. Maybe it's right just sometimes. Maybe it's terrible. But one person shouldn't be making this decision for all these individuals. And you're more likely to get to the truth if you vote on something from your legislative body because now you have to actually bring some evidence. You have to bring some, hey, I'm going here to do this for this reason. And you have to convince this group of people after your reasoning.

16:25But Congress just don't give a f. They don't. They seem to be, they just voted today on the Wars Powers Act, right? And you need to look it up and you need to see how Congress is advocating its responsibility. They're supposed to be the ones that declare war. War powers resolution, yes. They didn't vote on it to pass. It was killed right in the Senate. I think it was $54.48, something like that, or $52.48. So you have the Senate voting to not do their job and to allow the president to continue this war. They plan on voting later on in the week on funding the war, additional funding. Because by estimates, this war is costing us a billion dollars per day, per day. And kind of back to my point before I went on my Congress rant. You just kind of sit back and you try to think of how can I, how can we get our country back? How do you get Congress to take back the power that it's supposed to have?

17:28Okay, you are the power of the purse, you pass legislation, you declare war. Why do you keep putting this off to the president? Like how do we as the people get? Because it's easy to expand the powers. I mean, we just let the executive power just grow exponentially. That's easy. It's a lot more difficult to kind of get things to rain back in, to get powers removed from one branch and going back to the branches that the founders intended for them to go to. That's what we need to do. But I don't know how, who would I vote for? Who would I support? And I don't believe in kind of just giving up or sitting on the sidelines because that wouldn't help anybody either. How does this conflict end? I have no idea. Regime change. Okay, what does that mean? Right, from all the reports, they killed all the, you know, the many individuals at the head of the regime. Okay, how many more do you have to kill?

18:28And if you kill all of them, then they don't what do you do? You don't even think they have followers? You think you're going to kill all of the Islamic regime and install somebody after a bond of campaign where large sections of the city are just destroyed and what do you think is going to happen? Mind you, the Islamic regime has like a pretty sizable minority of the country that still supports it. What are you going to do? You know, you destroy all of the military, the missile capabilities. Now what? I'm a wrap up here because I've been going on for a little bit longer than I usually do. Yeah, I'm not sure where we're going. I don't know how to get us off of the brink because I do think there's a danger here. There is a danger here. That danger needs to be discussed. There is a danger to the might as right path that America seems to be going back on.
