Emil Sandstedt: When Money Fails

Emil Standstedt is the author of the book “Money Dethroned: A Historical Journey. He also writes about the history of money at his blog bdratings.org. In his writings, Emil has highlighted many of the irresponsible and reckless treatments of money in past era’s. Of course, we are in another era of extreme manipulation and destruction of the main money in use around the world (fiat money), so I thought it would be interesting to have Emil on to explore some of the comparisons between now and the monetary disasters of the past, and look forward to where we may be headed.
