About this episode
“If we are brave enough often enough, we will fall. These are the physics of vulnerability.” - Dr. Brené Brown There is a power in truly being yourself and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. Dr. Brené Brown, who spent two decades studying the subject, defines vulnerability as “uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure.” Vulnerability is at the core of shame, fear, and the struggle for worthiness and yet vulnerability is the birthplace of joy, creativity, and belonging. Being vulnerable has the ability to connect us to our truest nature and opens us up to love. Lisa and Michael invite you to join us in our exploration of how embracing being vulnerable strengthens our relationship to ourselves and to others. Vulnerability is about allowing ourselves to be honest with how we feel, about our fears, about what we need, and, in turn asking for what we need. Vulnerability exposes us emotionally to a certain degree of uncertainty. It invites us to accept the emotional risk that comes from being open and willing to love and be loved. Lisa and Michael will be sharing insights as to how opening yourself up when you feel vulnerable can be a way to gain greater strength, confidence and belief in your ability to handle challenging situations. As you truly learn to accept and love yourself, you will find it easier to show who you truly are. Dr. Brené Brown says it best, “To see and to be seen. That is the truest nature of love.” , Lisa LeRose an internationally respected natural health advocate, wellness educator, speaker, and eternal optimist, is the founder of One Wisdom, a healing arts collective focused on creating life-changing transformations.
