With the NBA today, March 1st, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embede will miss at least three games after stranding his right oblique muscle. He picked up the injury Thursday night during a 124-117 win over Miami and an MRI exam Saturday confirmed. The issue, Embede still managed 26 points in 11 rebounds in that game before exiting early. The team says he will sit out Sunday's matchup in Boston and then get re-evaluated after their back-to-back home games Tuesday and Wednesday. Without their star big man who led the Eastern Conference with a 29-point average last month, the 76ers face a tough stretch ahead.
