Eli Ellis Transferring from South Carolina

0:00On March 23rd, South Carolina Guard Eli Ellis is entering the NCAA transfer portal after just one season with the game cocks. The four star recruit averaged 8.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game last year. His top outing came with 20 points and 7 rebounds against Southern Miss. Ranked 69th overall and 9th among point guards in the 2025 class, Ellis signed with Coach Lamont Paris from Moravian Prep. He joins teammate Elijah Strong as the second player from the program announcing portal plans this off season. Ellis built his rep in overtime elite, playing for the YNG dreamers under his dad. There he became the league's all-time leading score with multiple 50 point games on his resume. He snagged back-to-back overtime elite MVP awards, first averaging 33.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals in 2023-24. Then in 2024-25, he posted 32.1 points, 6.7 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7.
