Reporting from the Daily News, now, I'm Corey, with the latest in Birmingham. The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-0 tornado touchdown in the Azure area of Jefferson County, Alabama on Monday evening. This week, but confirmed Twister costs scattered damage along a short path. It mainly affected spots from Betty Hill Road, over to Groundhog Road and Mud Creek Road. Survey teams noted the worst tree damage there. Many snapped or fell along Groundhog Road near Woods Creek, with even more, along Mud Creek Road, just south of that intersection. No major entries were reported from these impacts. Minor storm damage also popped up in Northern Tuscaloosa County and Winston County. A few buildings took hits, and some trees got uprooted in those spots. Meanwhile, separate storms left behind some damage in a homewood neighborhood, rounding out a rough evening for Central Alabama weather. Officials are still assessing the full picture.
