EasyJet Launches New Cornwall-London Flights

The twice-weekly service kicks off on June 23rd, running on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This follows the end of the previous subsidized route by Skybus. Cornwall Council pulled funding after government support dropped, leaving a bill of 14 million to 16 million pounds over four years to keep, it going. Local leaders welcome the change. They see it as a boost to direct travel links with London, making it easier for visitors to reach Cornwall during the busy season. Airport officials note growing demand from the southeast. The new Saturday flights especially open up connections through Gatwick, for leisure trips, and packet holidays. Overall, these routes alongside existing ones to stand stead, improve access, and help drive tourism to the area.
