easyJet Donates iPads to Bridge Digital Divide

These devices, once used by the airlines pilots and cabin crew, will go to kids and families who lack the tech needed for schoolwork. The charity, started in 2021, aims to end digital poverty by 2030. They are handing out the iPads nationwide, with a focus on areas near EasyJet's big U.K. hubs like Luton, Gatwick, and Newcastle. The airline also signed the Digital Inclusion Charter and pledged ongoing tablet donations. One in five U.K. children faces digital exclusion, missing out on tools to succeed. Parents are worried too, with nearly half saying they struggle to provide enough devices for learning at home. Research shows over three-quarters of parents believe limited tech holds back kids' opportunities, while nine in ten say good acts as boosts learning. Best is a big barrier for many families.
