East Region Clash: UConn vs. St. John's

Yukon earned a two-seed, while St. John's got a five-seed despite their strong regular season. St. John's claimed the big East regular season title, and beat Yukon twice, including a big win in the conference championship game. The red storm advanced with a first-round victory over Northern Iowa, and a second-round upset of Kansas. Earlier this week, Yukon coach Dan Hurley spoke bluntly on the Dan Patrick show about St. John's seating. He called a crap, and suggested the selection committee missed the mark by putting the rivals in the same region. Meanwhile, St. John's faces top overall C-Duke on Friday, showing some early vulnerabilities. Also, Wiles with a matchup against Michigan State. Hurley expects an epic elite-8 clash either way. This loaded East region promises intense games and high stakes, as these teams chase the national title.
