On March the 17th, Charles Cortanet, the 50-year-old Earl of Devon, has announced his engagement to Jamima Hannon, a 43-year-old estate, agent following his separation from his wife last year. To Maima, a Bristol University graduate and former horse-eventer was previously married to Richard Hannon, one of Britain's leading race-horse trainers, who worked with high-profile owners like Sir Alex Ferguson. After Earl first met his ex-wife, American actress Alison Joy Langer, in Las Vegas, back in 2005 during a rugby tour, and they lived in. California, before moving to the family seat at Powderham Castle near Exeter, after his father's death in 2015. She spoke openly about the challenges of adapting to British aristocratic life, noting how her laid back husband from California had to step into more, traditional roles which strained their relationship over time. Now, with four children between them, the couple plans to blend their families at the Historic Castle, complete with its own deer park along the river.

X-A, as they look forward to building a new chapter together.
