Eagles Trade for Veteran QB Andy Dalton

The Philadelphia Eagles just made a move to bolster their quarterback room by trading for veteran Andy Dalton from the Carolina Panthers. In the deal, the Eagles get Dalton while sending a 2027 seventh-ground draft pick to Carolina. At 38 years old, Dalton brings a ton of experience as a reliable backup option. Dalton started his career as a second-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals back in 2011. He went 70 wins, 61 losses, and two ties over nine seasons there, even leading them to the playoffs four years in a row early on. After leaving Cincinnati, he bounced around with the Cowboys, Bears, and Saints on one year deals before landing in Carolina for three seasons. There, he started seven games with a 1 in 6 record, throwing for over 1,600 yards.
