He's being hugged by his entourage, Joe DeCamera with the huge upset Jack Fritz takes his Larry Bird, U.S. Jersey, and in frustration flips it off and throws it away as DeCamera wins this round five, and I must say, and declare for everyone within the sound of my voice,

1:03Joe DeCamera is the better athlete, over Jack Fritz. What a call. What a moment. Mark zoom off with the yes. I mean, there's, you had to have goosebumps. I mean, yeah. How could you not? I mean, you felt them on your forearm. The goosebumps right there. I mean, you appreciate the fact that they do what they do and they took it very, very serious. They made it feel real. They made it feel like a real basketball game and not a couple of radio guys playing one-on-one. That was pretty cool. That was awesome. All right, 2-1-5-5-9-2-9-4-9-4. All your phone calls today, reacting to Joe Verst Jack, are you willing to apologize to Joe DeCamera? I am. It depends on where you were on this. If you were on Team Joe the whole way, really today is, do you want to say I told you so? Like Kyle, like you, to an extent. Or do you want to say I'm sorry, Joe, because that's what's wrong, man. I'm Joe. I apologize. I was wrong. I didn't think DeCamera had that in him. I thought Jack's just overall athleticism would, would win out and it didn't. And Joe won this thing, fair and square, and he gets to call himself the better athlete

All right, back to that in a second, but Hugh, let's react to what happened yesterday. You know, the Eagles don't want to give WIP all the shine. They want to take away some of the headlines, so away from Joe DeCamera and Jack for it. So yesterday, Hugh, the Eagles made a really, I would call interesting trade to acquire Andy Dalton, who yes, is still in the league. Really? Yeah, he's been in the league a long time now. In a backup, kind of half a starter for a little bit when the Panthers bench priced seven couple of years ago, but mostly a backup for a while now. In this part of his career, he was with the Bengals for years and they had a lot of success and then he transitioned back up and he's been with the Bears and the Saints and the Panthers for a while. So the Eagles send a seventh round pick to the Carolina Panthers yesterday to bring in

3:07Andy Dalton. Now, Hugh, on the surface, it's like, all right, whatever, seventh round pick. But you kind of think about what it means and it's interesting for two reasons, one, he's salary isn't a lot, but it's a lot for a third stringer. It just doesn't fit what you usually pay a third string quarterback because they still have Tanner McKee right now. So my first thought was the Eagles are preparing to trade Tanner McKee and they want another veteran to kind of hold the fort as the backup. Hugh, what did you think when you saw Andy Dalton to the Eagles for a seventh rounder? A lot of me don't pack this a little bit because I have to explain this because I guarantee you that when I'm going to say it, nobody's going to understand what's coming from. They're going to get all in their fillers and they're going to be like, oh my gosh. Basically, I feel like it's a pattern and you know what, to be fair, I know most people aren't going to hear what I'm saying and they're just going to, you know, do whatever they do, whatever. But my first thought was this is not a skill set, like Andy Dalton and Jaylen Hertz don't have the same skill set, they don't. And we are implementing a new offense, right?

4:08We have a new offense coordinator, there's a lot of newness that comes with this team. And I've always said that, you know, with the AJ Brown situation that, you know, there was some trepidation with the quarterback and all of this other stuff. I feel like if this doesn't go the way that they think it will go, or if this offense is implemented or Jaylen can't pick it up, that is their way of, he's kind of like a stopgap. Because when you talk about Tanner McKee, we talk about how well he's played in certain spurts and everything like that. He's a viable backup. Now I know that he's in position to get a new contract and everything like that. So you know, he's probably not going to be here, but when I, when I first thought Andy Dalton, when I heard Andy Dalton's name and I heard he was going to be here, there's a lot of newness with this team and there's a lot of uncertainty with this team. And my thought was, well, you know, Jaylen has to be on this game because it's, it's, it's the potential for it there to be transition there.

5:08So like when you saw the deal, you thought more about Jaylen and the offense, like I'm just trying, I think it's interesting what you're saying. Do you think there's a chance that Dalton would play real games next year or just to kind of pressure on Jaylen? Well, it all depends on how Jaylen picks up this offense because we, I believe like in all of this people, it's, it's me recklessly speculating because I don't know what this offense is. I don't know what it's going to be. But we all have a feeling about how it's going to run. And we've all said that. Or under center stuff. Yeah. And we've all said that you can get anybody to run this offense. And we've all noted that Jaylen really doesn't like to be on the center a whole lot. Andy Dalton does. So you, you look at all that and then the part of me is the competitive spirit. When you see somebody that has come, comes in that has played in this league, has had somewhat success in this. Oh, yeah. I would say that when he was drafted a six year run, we're there. He was a solid quarterback. Yeah, yeah. Not saying he's better than Jaylen people. So please listen to that part, but he's, he's a viable, he's a viable option at this

6:09point, especially if this offense is not running the way that the offense coordinator sees it running. Yeah. So I'll be honest, I didn't think much about the Jaylen effect. I thought about the Tanner effect when I saw it and I, I just think it's setting them up to trade Tanner. If they're going to trade Tanner McKee, this is the off season. He's a free agent after the season. So the only way they're going to give value for Tanner is to trade him right now before this particular draft. That might be it too. When I think of the quarterback room they have right now is Jaylen one, Tanner two, Andy three. I think it makes more sense just the way, most teams do it the way the Eagles do with money and draft picks to have it, Jaylen one, Andy two, and then a developmental quarterback three. Now where they take that next quarterback in this draft, and I think they're going to take one, will be a big thing, right? If they take them in the second round, that's a bigger story than the sixth round. But if I had a guess, they're going to take a quarterback either in the third or fourth round or somewhere in that range this year and put them as the third quarterback and just let them just just go work on work on things. See if you could become something in this new system. Meanwhile, Jaylen's the one and Andy's there break glass in case of emergency.

7:12Jaylen gets hurt or something happens. Andy don't can play a couple games and you could you could survive. I mean, he's played a lot of football. Yeah, but the thing that jumped out to me is number one, new offense, which we don't know what it is. A quarterback with a completely different skill set than the starting quarterback. And you know, that's the thing, that was the first thing that I thought, because we don't know what this offense is and we've all heard that it might be something where, you know, it's more in the center and it's going to be more of, of, of, of, not, not game manager, but somebody to get the ball out on time. Yeah, I envision Niners Packers type of stuff, you know, throw those over the middle through a timing throws. Yeah. So that's, that's what I envision. I didn't look at it as much in terms of his skill set. I think there's an element to, if you do need him to come in for a game, you feel okay, just because he's been around, he's seen a lot of different systems and played a lot of football. So you have that. I also thought probably gearing up to one draft, a quarterback, two deal, Tanner McKay.

8:13But the only thing I thought of relative to Jaylen was, think about it. Don's going to be 39 this year. He almost becomes one of the, the manion men. Like they are installing a new offense. Andy Dalton's been seen a bunch of different offenses and he, like, he's, his skill set at this point is being able to pick up an offense quickly. So is any kind of also here to help Jaylen pick up this new offense? Kind of reminds me of Josh. Maybe, maybe, Josh, for a common person, half a coach, but the fact still remains that if Jaylen can't, say if Jaylen can't pick it up because you, if for me, it's, it's more of what's been said over the last couple of months and I just okay, marry it to what just happened. Yeah. Jaylen, there was some thought. There was some conversation that Jaylen is not, he doesn't like being on the center. He doesn't like, well, he likes the offense the way that he likes the offense. Well, I think it's fair to think he prefers shotgun because that's what they've done primarily for his whole career. So, like, so now you, you got, I'm sorry, Kyle, but you got to, uh, you got a new offense

9:17coming in and you have a philosophy that you want to implement. Yeah. And this is a guy that could either, to your point, help Jaylen out or if Jaylen can't pick it up, he can take over. I don't. So that's where you lose. Well, we're screwed. Yeah. I've got to play Dublin in a serious role. I don't say I don't see a scenario where Andy Dalton takes over, like no matter what. Well, I think then the Eagles are in trouble. If they do go into the season with Jaylen, rookie QB, Andy Dalton, I think, I mean, the rookie would obviously be drafted because Manion and Sierra and I like him. I think if, if we do, God forbid, get to a scenario where we have to, we have to bench Jaylen and we're late in the season. This thing's not working. We're not going to make the playoffs. Whatever. I think you go to the rookie 2020 and I'm not, I'm not trying to make everyone feel like oh, we're heading to 2020, but in 2020, whence was one, was it sub fell to? Jaylen was three to start the year. He wasn't even active the first couple of games. If I memory serves, then they started putting him in as like the wild cat nonsense that he did. And then eventually, eventually, eventually the, the, the worm turned, right?

10:18And Jaylen just became the quarterback by the end of the season. So, don't say. Dalton's role is probably more coach-ish, but also if the team does find itself as certain both contenders, then he's that perfect veteran to fill in if you need him for a game or two to maybe, maybe win you a game and keep you afloat. Yeah. I just, the only thing I will say on it is it doesn't make sense to have Tanner and Andy. It just feels like a weird quarterback room. Like why would you try to pick for Andy Dalton to be your third string quarterback and not be active on game day? That's why I think Tanner is, I think they're about to trade Tanner McKee. Whether it be today, tomorrow, draft night, I think that's where we're going here. Two one five five nine two ninety four nine four. Are you a reaction to the Andy Dalton trade, which kind of caught us out of nowhere? Joe, verse, Jack, do you want to apologize to Joe? Do you want to say it? But can this situation mess up like a relationship with lady? She look at you different, even though it wasn't like. Oh, no, I think they're okay, Mario. He's been, he's been a jackspin with this, yeah, then him. But just in general, we like that in a situation like that. We're hearing that so much from people. Like does it like this? And what it means for the Eagles. So the guys out in Cleveland yesterday, they got wind of it and they started spinning into the browns and could the browns get tandem and keep it and then it turned into a whole thing where you got house over there fighting with each other. I think the most significant thing from yesterday's game, or whatever you want to call that thing that they did, was what it says about the Eagles. Oh, I like this. 17:26And we're recklessly speculating with the Eagles. I think it's adding Tannin McKee's about to be out of here through trade. And now, don't want to be on number two quarterback this year. Hugh thinks it adds a little pressure to the play that Jalen Hertz to pick up this offense. Let's hear what they talked about out in Cleveland. First, when the news broke yesterday, their afternoon show throughout a hypothetical, which I wasn't ready for, but let's listen to these guys. Would you rather a fifth round pick for Tannin McKee? Did you record the sixth pick for Jalen Hertz? Oh, what? Which one would you rather do? I don't get the question. Would you rather trade a fifth round pick for Tannin McKee? Or did the sixth pick overall for Jalen Hertz? Oh, the sixth pick overall. I think you meant the sixth round pick. I said, what are you doing to yourself? Yeah, six overall and you get Jalen Hertz. It's still not even a question. I think it might be a question for some people to think Jalen Hertz stinks. I think it's a question for Maple and Philadelphia, huh? At least, and do I think Jalen Hertz is the greatest quarterback I've ever seen? No, I don't. Do I think he does come with some limitations? Yes, I do.

18:27Do I think your big board last year that had him as what the fifth best quarterback in the sport is wrong? Yes, I do. I'd love to see the updated version. Well, he's not the fifth best quarterback in the NFL now. He didn't just win the Super Bowl. All right, well, when you made the list, that's what he was, right? Yeah, he was fifth best. After winning the Super Bowl. I think he's probably like around, I don't know, anywhere from nine to 12 somewhere in that range. It's a respectable range. I give up the number six overall pick for Jalen Hertz. I don't even think that's a hot take. That's pretty interesting. Well, all right. Well, I think they're actually under rating how much they would cost for Tanner. I think Tanner cost more than a fifth. I think Tanner's closer to a fourth round pick we would get than a fifth. But whatever, they threw that out there. So, you know, they're reacting to the trade and kind of spinning it their way. That's not the craziest conversation they had. But what I enjoyed was that was yesterday afternoon, I heard their morning show host this morning, Ken Carmen losing his mind over his colleagues and their conversation yesterday. Why the hell would you put Tanner McKee on the trade block apparently quote unquote? If you were going to start him over Jalen Hertz,

19:28who somehow we would give up a six overall spell or what? This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in the history of the station. You didn't even thought I ain't yelling at you, young man. I ain't yelling at you. This is dumb. This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard and he knows it. That's why he's hiding because he's laughing at me because he knows I've lost my mind over this of all the stupid things that have been said on these airwaves in 14 years. This is easily the most recent. I still love you less. Second of all, it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. We have lost our mind. We have, we have literally taken the bottom lid and wrapped it over our heads now and we are suffocating for air. This is dumb. Guys, this is stupid. Do you hear what's coming out of our mouths? I think I've ever seen you this mad. Because I can't stand the stupidity. I can't do it. The six overall for Jalen Hertz from a team that was going to quote unquote start Tanner and be key over him and the reason to do it is because he's better than Johnny Mansell because he's better than Charlie Frye.

20:30Yeah, he hot. Well, it's serious. When I heard that, they mean the sixth overall pick in the draft. The number six pick in the draft. Man, they are desperate for a quarterback. Yes, they're the browns. I mean, they're the browns. I don't know what I'm saying. I don't know what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That was my thought. Like, I like Jalen and Jalen's ones to been a two super bowl. I think Cleveland might do it. Take Jalen for a six overall pick. Six overall pick. Oh, that's what I mean. The number six pick. I don't think so. I don't think they would, Jalen. I mean, I wouldn't. That's a lot for Jalen. And, and I don't think. You don't think the, you don't think the browns would trade the six pick in the draft for Jalen? No. I do. They have nothing. Uh-huh. Okay. Then what would they need Jalen for? Jalen, like Jalen's not the quarterback that's going to dry. How many more wins they have with Jalen and QB? But if we don't, if we don't think we can get a one first round, I know it's very high, but one first round pick for Jalen, then what are we doing at the quarter? But hold on. One first round is different from the six overall pick, guys.

21:31Yeah, that's a lot different. Yeah, but you, okay, it's because we know what the pick is. When you trade multiple first rounders in the future, you have no idea what the picks are, right? They could be the 20th pick, 30th, 31st. They could be the 15th. They could be the 10th. You don't know. I think Jalen, trading for Jalen is what you do. If you think you are a team that's one serviceable QB away. Kind of like, uh, what do you do? Staff are right. Yeah, the rounds are going to trade for Jalen and build around him. When you need that pick. All right, listen, I'm not, I would, I think both teams, it wouldn't make any sense for. I'm kind of with you on that. I don't think, I don't know why the Browns would trade a high pick for a quarterback at the stage. Also, if you're the Eagles, the six pick in this particular draft isn't, isn't worth trading away, Jalen hurts. I mean, it's a, it's a silly hypothetical. I just love how they reacted, especially the morning shows. He lost his mind over it. Yeah, that was a lot. That's a lot when you think about it. I mean, you know, when you talk about what the Browns need, what's that big creepy coming back this year too? Oh, he's cooked. No, but he, you know, he's, he's gonna, they're gonna let him get another bite of that
