Eagles Lock Up Jalen Carter with Mega Deal

The team is expected to lock him up with a big extension as he heads into his fourth year in the league. Drafton 9th overall out of Georgia in 2023, Carter has already earned all pro honors and two pro ball nods. Carter dealt with shoulder injuries last season, limiting him to just 12 games. He even got toss from the opener after an incident with Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott. Still, he stood out as the Eagles only pro ball starter, with 33 tackles, 3-6, and plenty of pressure on quarterbacks. Fans and insiders figured Carter would sign first among the team stars. Instead, his old Georgia teammate, Jordan Davis, beat him to it, landing a 3-year, $78 million deal over the weekend. Now fresh reports say the Eagles are pushing hard to extend Carter.
