In this episode Kerry and Dr. Josh Matson discuss Wisdom Literature in general and what we can get out of it and how. Then Kerry and Dr. Michael Biggerstaff talk about Proverbs in general and the major themes and what the book says about itself and how to gain from it. They discuss the theme of fear of the Lord in the book of Proverbs, as well as the theme of wisdom. They help us understand what it may really mean. They dive into how wisdom from God makes us and then makes a difference in our lives, and how God's patience and longsuffering with us is shown in the Book of Proverbs. Then Rabbi Joe Charnes joins the podcast to go a bit more into depth with Proverbs 1 and Proverbs 15. They look at a Jewish point of view of wisdom and how we can be guided more deeply by gaining wisdom from Proverbs and Wisdom Literature in general. Finally Kerry explains what is happening in Ecclesiastes and how it teaches us about the emphasis we should have in life and the need to think celestial and put the eternal first and spend only appropriate time on the fleeting, or the things of the world.
