Scott was dealt a hard hand in his youth, but after he “graduated” from foster care when he was 18, he started on the path that led him to becoming first a personal trainer and then a motivational coach and the creation of his Bend not Break program. He shares his past from an authentic and vulnerable place because he wants to help others who may have hard beginnings and don’t know how to start improving things for themselves. A turning point for him was the birth of his daughter, Lexi, who is the guiding light for his purpose in life; he wants her to see that he will never give up. And I think that [makes] people feel valued. I think once you're straight with people, you're empathetic, and you're able to actually show a genuine interest and are able to help people.” “I need to have those little circuit breakers; I started to call them circuit breakers after COVID –  I need to have those things in my life to reinvigorate me and to do things for me. He lost his mother to alcohol addiction and his father to a broken heart a few years later. Scott always loved being active and athletic, so he began to train to be a personal trainer, but soon found he needed to do more than just PT, so he began to study more and take steps to become a motivational and life coach.
