Duke Secures Top Seed in NCAA Tournament

They're set to take on Siena in the first round on Thursday, March 19th, at Bonsa Corps's Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The Blue Devils earned this spot after clinching the ACC tournament title with a 74-70 win over Virginia. Underhead coach John Shire, Duke has now hit a top 5 seed in each of his first four years. This marks their second straight number one overall seed in the 16th time in program history. The team enters with a stellar 32 wins and two losses record sitting at number one in the country after sweeping the ACC regular season and tournament crowns. Duke boasts the best all-time winning percentage in tournament history at 75% with 126 wins and 42 losses. They've made their 48th appearance 5th most ever and hold strong marks like 15 wins

1:00and zero losses against number 16 seeds. Siena punched their ticket by winning the MAAC tournament, boasting a 23 and 11 record and ranking 15th nationally and scoring. Defense, Duke previously beat them 92 to 74 back in November of 2015 and is two in zero lifetime against MAAC teams in the motto AC, Tournament. The winner advances to face the Ohio State and TCU match of Victor on Saturday with East Regionals heading to Washington DC later that week. All eyes are on the blue devils as they chase another deep run.
