Duke's Streaking Blue Devils Head to ACC Tournament

0:00On March 11, Duke wrapped up their regular season with a big win over rival North Carolina, finishing at 29 wins and two losses. That's the most victories heading into the postseason since the 1998-1999 season. Their number one in the AP Top 25 poll and riding an 8-game winning streak into the ACC tournament in Charlotte this week. The team picked up plenty of hardware too. Cameron Booser earned player and rookie of the year honors in the conference. Malig Brown took defensive player and six-man awards while Isaiah Evans made the all ACC 13. All three are fully healthy for their quarter-final game Thursday at 7 p.m. Eastern time against the winner of Florida State and California. Coach John Shire also got coach of the year. Even with the success, Duke will miss two starters in Charlotte. Junior Guard Caleb Foster has a fractured foot and sophomore Big Man Patrick Nongba the second is dealing with foot soreness. Shire says these absences won't shake up the team's approach much.

With sophomore Guard Darren Harris back in the mix, all seven healthy players can make an impact and keep things rolling strong. Duke hopes to have In-Gongba back for their first NCAA tournament game next week, while Foster might only return if they make a deep run to the vinyl. 4.
