Duke's Foster Out Indefinitely, Boozer Steps Up

The junior guard got hurt during Saturday's win over North Carolina and did not come back. Coach John Shire says, Foster will miss time we can see ahead but he is not ruling out a return for the end of the season. Shire added that the top-ranked blue devils need to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament to give Foster a real chance to play again. Foster averages 8.5 points and 2.8 assists over 31 games this season as the team's fourth leading score. His absence hurts, especially with center-patchic Nongba, the second also sideline by foot soreness. Ngongba, who sat out the North Carolina game too, averages 10.7 points and 6 rebounds. Shire hopes he returns healthy for the NCAA tournament after missing this week's ACC event. Meanwhile, freshman guard Caden Booser steps up, playing 29 minutes against North Carolina with 7 points and 5 rebounds.
