Duke Miles Leads Vanderbilt to N-C-A-A Win

0:00On March 20, Vanderbilt beat McNeigh 78-68 in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Former University of Oklahoma Guard Duke Miles scored 13 points in the win, helping the Commodore's advance to face Nebraska on Saturday. The game took place at Pay Com Center in Oklahoma City on March 19. Miles played one season for the Sooners after stops at Troy and High Point. In that short time at OU, the 6-foot-2 guard started 34 games. Average 9.4 points per game to rank 3rd on the team, and led with 22 steals during conference play. Now in his sixth and final college year, he transferred to Vanderbilt. Miles credits his many schools and years through the pandemic for keeping him grounded and humble as the older player on the roster. He still stays in touch with former OU teammates like Jeff Nguonqueau and others. Being back in a familiar city and state has made things easier for him.
