Duke Dominates Rival Tar Heels

The number one team in the nation, now 29, wins and two losses overall, and 17 wins in one loss in the ACC, grabbed an early lead at 6-5 and never looked back. It was revenge for their loss to North Carolina exactly one month ago. In the first half, freshman Cameron Booser led with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists, while senior Malig Brown added 10 points and 3 steals. That effort helped Duke take a 39-34 half-time edge, despite playing without sophomore big man Patrick Nungba the second. The second half started shaky, as North Carolina hit a couple of 3s to cut the lead to 1 point at 41-40, but Booser answered with a 3-pointer and sophomore Isaiah Evans drained 1-2, firing up the crowd.
