On March 20, Duke basketball fans have their eyes on the second round match-up against TCU this Saturday. The big question is whether 6'11cm Patrick and Gomba will suit up. He's been sideline with the foot injury since the Blue Devils win over NC State on February 2nd. Coach John Shire shared an update Friday after practice. He sounded optimistic that In Gomba could return tomorrow, but it all hinges on how the big man performs in today's session. Shire noted the player is eager to get back on the court. The team has really missed In Gomba's presence inside. Before the injury, he was putting up 10.7 points and 6 rebounds per game on average. That forced Cameron Booser to slide over to the center spot at times. Duke's step has taken another hit too. Starting point guard Kayla Foster has been out since the regular season finale against North Carolina. With a deep tournament run on the line, getting healthy bodies back could make all the difference for the Blue Devils as they push forward.
