Dubai Fugitive Faces London Murder Charges

0:00On April 25th, an 18-year-old named Inzo Betemio got extra-dited from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and popped up in a London court-facing, murder charges for a stabbing last year. The victim was Cmonin Tyinfinin, a 27-year-old known as Angela, killed at her home in the Bay's Water Section of Westminster on April 6th, 2024. Cops found her two days later with multiple stab wounds and pronounced her dead right there. This hit hard in the neighborhood, sparking a major push from the Metropolitan Police to track down the suspect after he bolted overseas. It took a joint effort with Crown Prosecution Service lawyers to bring him back across borders. Betemio landed in the UK on Friday and faced Westminster magistrate's court the next day where he just confirmed his name and birthday. No plea yet. He's locked up until his next stop at the Old Bailey on April 28th.
