Drunken Assault on Flight Attendant

0:00On April 17th, a 31-year-old man named Aaron Brady pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a Ryanair flight attendant on a flight into Dublin, airport last year. He'd downed a massive amount of booze beforehand, including about five bottles of wine at the airport with his partner, and then up to twelve. Fifteen mini-bottles during the flight. The crew reported him as disruptive, leading Guardi to board the plane, cuff him, and take him away. The plane's escalated quick in the back alley, where the attendant was on break. Brady got too close, touching her leg, kissing her cheek, and forcing her head toward his groin before she pushed him off and alerted the captain. He later claimed no memory of it, blaming the alcohol blackout on his way home from holiday. The victim shared a raw impact statement, saying she's haunted by panic, nightmares, and shame, even quitting her dream job at Ryanair. He feels a heavy load now, waiting for therapy, and hopes no one else endures this. Brady took the stand, calling it out of character, and begging forgiveness for the trauma.

He's offered five thousand-year-olds right away as remorse with more to cover her losses and plays GAA locally while battling depression. Judge Jonathan Dunphy adjourned sentencing to June, ordering that first payment transmitted to her within 24 hours, and keeping Brady on bail, to work. He thanked the victim for speaking up, aiming to wrap it right so both sides can heal and move forward.
