Drunk Man Breaks into Church, Steals Artifacts

On January 10, Waldrunk, he smashed a stained-glass window at the Grade 2 listed St. Anne's Church in Q, and left traces of his blood behind. Knight took two brass candlesticks from near the altar, and even entered a mausoleum, where he opened a box containing ashes. The vicar noticed blood on the altar and floor the next day, sparking an investigation. Knight showed deep remorse, reporting the incident to police himself. In court, magistrates describe his actions as reckless but impulsive, taking his shame into account during sentencing. He pleaded guilty to criminal damage and mishandling human remains, receiving a 12-month community order, along with 60 hours of unpaid work.
