Drugs & Gun Bust in Traffic Stop

0:00Hey, it's Corey, with Tampa Bay News today, your city, your news every day. Hernando County deputies in Spring Hill, Florida, turned a simple traffic stop into a major drug and fire arm bust. They pulled over an orange pickup truck for a broken left hill light at Mariner Boulevard and Tara Street. The driver was 43-year-old Raymond Allers with 37-year-old Tyler Humphrey as the passenger. A K-9 unit sniffed around the outside of the truck and quickly alerted to a bag left on the driver's seat. Deputies searched Allers and found two grams of methamphetamine. Inside the truck, they discovered two glass meth pipes and loaded syringes with meth in a Hello Kitty pouch. Humphrey admitted to having marijuana and tried to run when deputies searched him. After catching him, they recovered 3.4 grams of meth, half a gram of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia from his pockets. Deputies also found a firearm in the truck, which Allers said belonged to his brother. Both men were arrested without any other issues.

1:02Allers faced charges for possessing methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Humphrey got hit with charges for meth possession, marijuana possession, paraphernalia, and resisting without violence. Bonds were set for both.
