Drug Bust: Traffic Stop Uncovers Major Operation

0:00On March 28th, a 21-year-old man from Nottingham faces serious drug charges after cops pulled over his car for missing headlights. Aziz Balay Wu Guy hit with counts of possession, with intent to supply cocaine, MDMA, and cannabis, plus criminal damage, handling dirty cash and driving without lights. It all kicked off in the early hours of March 25th when officers spotted the vehicle on Nutt Hall Road and tailed it till it stopped. A quick search turned of bags of cocaine and cannabis, nitrous oxide cans, and two phones right there in the car. Nottingham Police didn't stop there. They raided spots on Alpherton Road and Radford and Mansfield Road in Mapperly. Those hits uncovered, more cannabis, extra nitrous canisters, suspected Coke, stacks of cash, and boxes of unmarked pills. Balay Wu's locked up in custody after showing up at magistrate's court on March 26th, with another date set for the 27th. This bust highlights how routine traffic stops can unravel bigger drug ops in the city.
