00Let me explain what made me like the worst son in the world, uh, and call. If you can make me feel better about a time you also dropped the ball six, oh, one, nine, nine, five, one, one, seven. So a little backstory, my dad was scheduled to have surgery last Friday. Okay. Um, it wasn't like, like open heart surgery or anything like that. I had to get some work done on his foot. So not like major surgery, but still surgery nonetheless. So that was set to happen on Friday. Guess who completely forgot about that on Friday? This guy right here, me, handrake. So you wake up Saturday morning and you're like, Oh, no, no, I'm the worst son ever. So like the first thing I do on Saturday morning is I call my parents because I typically call them on the weekends. So I figure, okay, I, I whipped on the surgery day that this now requires a phone call. I can't just send the text right now. Like I'm gonna call them. But I mean, to call and follow up, which the after surgery is more important than

00the before, like how did everything go? Well, that's what I'm saying. So like, I mean, do you drop the ball at all? But it was a quick recovery, a good recovery. So I, my mom gets on the phone. And first thing I say is, hey, how'd the surgery go? And my mom goes, oh, it's rescheduled until Monday. Oh, my God. Oh, few good because I forgot about it until this morning. And I felt awful. He said, if my mom said, yeah, I probably could have sent a group chat to all the sons, letting them know that the surgery was postponed. Well, yes, he, they dropped the ball just as much as you did. Well, then fast forward to Monday, my dad even sent the text after surgery that he was home and doing well. And I was in the middle of a conversation with somebody. So it was one of those I read the text and then forgot about it with again on Monday after the actual surgery happened. I did text my dad yesterday afternoon, just check on 24 hours later. You're like, oh, yeah, glad you're doing good. Yeah, he's doing all right.

00The surgery was fine and everything like that. But I did just feel like such a dirt ball for dropping the ball. Have you ever dropped the ball like with a friend or family member or anything like that? The worst was two years in a row. My high school boyfriend and I were together three years. So two out of the three years, I forgot. Our anniversary, like on the day of his like, do you know what today is? You are such a dude. You're just a guy in a relationship. That's what I really am. You would think it would be more desirable for people. But I always ended up attracting someone who's like, you forgot it's her. You were, you were one for three. On anniversaries, six, a one, nine, nine, five, one, one, seven. Was wondering if you have ever dropped the ball like that. We'll keep our anonymous just in case. She says that's not bad. Adam, my biological father has dropped the ball for 23 years.

02You're all good. She said it's funny, though. I've noticed those moments that are actually hilarious when I have that issue moments. Well, yeah, that happens. Makes sense. Yeah, dropping the ball is the worst, though. Has anybody ever dropped the ball for you? Do you think? Probably, but I think because I dropped the ball so much that like my tolerance for it is pretty big because I'm like, I'm pretty forgiving. Like I'm that friend that will leave your text and answer for so long. Because like you said, you read it and then the alert goes away. And then I forget about it. I'm doing something else. So like I have those moments where I drop the ball at times. So like I have a lot of forgiveness when it comes to that. I have noticed about myself. I'm not good at texting people back. No, me neither. Like I do because I do that all the time. Like I'll read a text and be like, oh, I'll get to it. I'll get to it. I honestly think it might be a millennial curse, like growing up with texting the way that we did that now it's like there's too much information flying at us all

07the time our brains were not conditioned for this. And so yeah, your text message is just one of those bits of information that I've already forgotten about and now it's going to go unanswered. If you've ever texted me and I'm not answered, do not take it personal. I'm sorry. She's just how I operate. She's dropping the ball.
