Drone Bust at Manchester Prison

0:00On April 8th, four guys got pinched by greater Manchester police after they seized the drone headed straight for prison in Solford. This went down in the Black Friars area near Manchester City Center just before midnight on Monday, April 6th. Cops from the Specialist Operations Unit pulled over their vehicle and found the drone packed with other suspicious gear. The suspects ranged from 24 to 34 years old and all four were nabbed on suspicion of plotting to sneak ban items into a prison. They got held right there on the spot while officers tore through the car. These busts hit hard against organized crime crews. They used drones to run drugs, violence and exploitation from behind bars. Detective Sergeant Carla Dalton from the City of Manchester North Challenger and prison team called it a key move to root out these networks and keep streets safe. Right now, the men are still in custody, getting grilled this Wednesday afternoon. No word yet on charges sticking, but the drone angle shows how text getting twisted for bad.
