But joining us right now to kick off our number two on this Tuesday it's been too long since we've had them on the show and there's so much going on in the NBA so much going on in the NFL both from real life and from the betting perspective. It's going incredibly well and it's great to be back. The NBA has been it's been an incredibly successful season betting game by game so far. I kind of can't believe it and now we're set up for one of the more entertaining playoffs in years like we have a real challenge a couple of a potential paths for the Thunder to actually get challenged in the West now that's exciting and the East is going to be absolutely throwing.

6:17I feel like round one we're going to have a couple of playoffs matchups that are going to be must watch in the East and considering where we were at the beginning of the year where this was considered to be wide open in a bad year down year however you wanted to characterize it we have come a long way to where this is now all of a sudden going to be must watch NBA playoffs and and I can't wait. We will we will get to the NBA a little bit later in this interview but the Drew let's and I mad there's and there's there's so many so many great NBA topics we'll do that coming up in a little bit but let's continue on the NFL theme here my friends now this can be a trade that's already happened like crossby to Ravens DJ more to the bills signings that we saw yesterday what has happened thus far in this NFL offseason that changes the way Drew Dinsick conceptualizes and handicaps early in the process this coming NFL season. Oh man the 90% of the stuff you see in free agency in my opinion has very virtually no impact it's mostly just teams that have glaring needs and lots of cash spending on players that are available for a reason and so you see

7:23stuff that you know kind of comes across the wire and it kind of either either raises your eyebrows like Tyler Linda bomb was worth what or it you know just kind of like oh okay you know like dolphins retooling with Malik Willis at that price point fine you know you I'm confused at a number of teams like what is ultimately the plan here like great example like the Steelers Steelers got Michael Pittman for a song who's throwing him the ball I know very very curious as to what the you know what the plan is there mostly right now in the NFL you have the haves and have nots a quarterback that's can ultimately determine you know the way championship equity is is kind of carved up once we get to come up coming up with fair pricing you know pretty shocked that teams like the bills haven't made a more splashy move considering all the players that were available in free agency at wide receiver and be a trade and then you know similarly fascinating to me that the chiefs

8:25are pivoting into kind of bolstering their offensive weapons and letting the defense sort of dry on the vinyl if some of the loss is there the only kind of move to make I think at this point is betting the Rams they're kind of moved to bring in good cornerbacks to me at least they look like the best team on paper as we come into this new season tough to disagree with that on my award winning they haven't won any awards I don't think it's also up for the word in my award winning sports betting minutes that are on Odyssey station station one I actually said the two super ball favorites are the Rams and the sea ox right now if you had to bet one I think it would have to be the Rams no disrespect the Seattle but tough to disagree with that now on the Los Angeles Rams so let me hit you with this right I think we can both agree I and I'm honest right I want to bet the 49ers this year I think San Francisco still has some moves they have to make right now on paper I don't know how you argue against the Rams and on paper right there's still a whole offseason to play out we'll see where where things end up so Rams I think pretty clearly right now

9:27maybe they don't get there but right now on paper best team in the NFC if I made Drew Densick right now pick the AFC champion and this is a pencil not pan at you don't have to put a scent on this right now right but I made you pick the AFC champion that will represent the conference in Super Bowl 61 who are you taking and why it's tempting to try to take on the Ravens I like the Max Crosby move they needed a pass for sure badly they still have a pretty decent secondary the defense overall has the right pieces and the change in you know change in leadership from Harbaugh was like Nick overdue Lamar Jackson I don't know that I'm going to significantly downgrade him from my rating that I had going into last season because I'm assuming that most of the lackluster play from him we saw was because of injury and not because he stinks now and so ultimately I'm gonna take the Ravens be grudgingly but yeah it's it's it's pretty fascinating that the kind of the most complete teams

10:29our teams without you know established kind of long track record winning quarterbacks and then teams that have you know the the quarterbacks that I think you can say with a pretty high confidence are going to be at the top of you know any ranking have some pretty clear and obvious weaknesses across the roster so I'll be grudgingly say Ravens but what does it feel like I do this every year and they don't come through what's funny is man is that I spent and you know this because we've talked about it right in our audience knows it I spent years saying that the bills needed to move on from Sean McDermott the Ravens needed to move on from John Harbaugh before I like like them to win a championship what's happened yeah I kind of think we might get a Buffalo Baltimore AFC championship championship season we can you you don't think that's nuts I'm not at all not at all I was kind of back and forth in my head between those two and only one Ravens just because I think they have a they have a slightly more talented roster around one more than the bills have around

11:30Josh last NFL question and then we'll talk some NBA now I'll just give you an example of what I'm talking about here and maybe you'll agree so I'm thinking about the signings yesterday and I'm looking at the prices at bed MGM I was a little surprised to say and like look it can't be that big of a stunner even though this team won its division last year the Carolina Panthers are the fourth choice right now to win the NFC South and plus 380 right and they had a signed Jalen Phillips they signed Devon Lloyd I I think you can make a case that that's the best bet in the NFC South would be Carolina so that can be your I wanted to give you some context for the answer I'm look kind of answer I'm looking for here sure is there a bet that you have percolating right now that is interesting to you off of what we've seen that maybe the betting market isn't that keen to yet it doesn't have to mean I'm right about Carolina but that would be my answer to that question for right now yeah I can mean Carolina is very interesting maybe I like to both of their pickups on defense maybe an overpay for Phillips Lloyd I think was a fair fair bet on as a kind of a buy

12:31you know an up and coming guy the NFC South is it's such a you know kind of moving by a attrition type of division and you know I think they're going to be kicked around by that what looks to be pretty difficult schedules for all of these teams so nine wins gets you there the plus 380 they should probably be a lot flatter I guess the most most obvious thing if I was writing bets on the NFC South I would be just delighted beyond belief to write anyone who wants Tampa plus 130 yeah that's a that's a crazy number I hit you with another crazy number can I say something that might be I don't know you may maybe you disagree with me here like I'm a huge Kevin's to Fansky fam look I'll I wish planning on saving this I'll do it right now with you here and I'm curious what do you think about this which quarterback you think starts more games for the Atlanta Falcons in 2026 to a tongue of I low or Michael Pennick's junior and no matter who the

13:32answer is who would bet on this team to win the division of those are your options I don't know what's going on in Atlanta man this is so terrible my guess is the two starts more games because I don't think Penox is going to be ready week one and if Penox is ready week one he is such a high risk of re injury that I think that it's just not going to work to me the move to get a guy like to as opposed to any other option they had is kind of signaling white flag on the Penox regime and on top of that they fired the GM who drafted Penox so really no at this point no loyalty to continue sticking there next out for him I think both Penox and JJ McCarthy both got votes of sincere no confidence from there you know in their young tenures based on the moves that those two organizations made at the GM position so yeah Tampa Tampa and Atlanta to me look like false favorites in that division you want to take a swing on the Saints you want to take a swing on the Panthers I wouldn't stop anyone from either of those two teams and ultimately I could see this very very likely finishing in reverse order of odds Panthers over St over Falcons over Bucks

14:36like that is not hard to see at all you better you bet on this Tuesday Westwood one sports presented by Ben MGM Nick Costos joined by NBC sports betting analyst one of our favorites the whale capper Jardinsik you can follow Drew on Twitter at whale underscore capper let's do some NBA uh shake you'll just and I haven't touched on this game yet I thought it was one of the best games of the season last night as the thunder beat the nuggets 129 126 SGA with some unbelievable heroics at the end of the game including the game winning three-pointer is okay see wins by three uh is most valuable player a rap now in the NBA and SGA will go back to back and win his second straight give us your analysis of MVP at their deep deep the only only only avenue for anyone else is that SGA breaks his leg tomorrow that is the only thing that is stopping this he still has to qualify um but uh assuming he qualifies he's clearly the choice and uh well earned second MVP for him um I think that the margin

15:37between SGA and the next best player in Nikolayokitch is not huge um but there are accomplishments this season in terms of winning this award are pretty clearly uh you know disparate of my opinion I uh I generally think that um uh the fact that SGA has basically been doing it without the enormous enormous help from the supporting cast that he got last year is being a little bit overlooked like the thunder success this year has been way more tied to his personal contributions to winning than then last year where it was much more of a well-rounded team effort I thought um and uh yeah there's really no polls to poke in this uh the real thing that I'm kind of scratching my head about with respect to SGA is he now leads in clutch points with 147 and it's coming off back to back game winning shots for this thunder team in clutch and yet the market is still very very stubborn at recognizing him as being the guy he is 16 and 7 in games

16:38that entered in the clutch uh and in 107 minutes he leads in points despite uh you know being you know well behind guys like Maxi and Jamal Murray and Kevin Durant in minutes played in the clutch so um kind of I know I don't think that they're going to treat uh it's clutch as sort of uh you know a consolation prize for not getting MVP which is the only way that I think Anthony Edwards really has a case to be made here but um watch the lot of thunder basketball this year watch a lot of SGA in particular in the clutch his usage is absurd uh his efficiency is impossibly good and a little bit surprised that uh he still is kind of um down the list a bit here uh at some at some at some shops I see draft kings looks like they have made him the the small favorite but um yeah I don't know what else he has to do uh Shay right now and at ben mgm for MVP minus 700 following last night's game um I'd love to do this with you we have about five minutes left I I think

17:39it's probably less than 10 but let's do 10 and let's pick five teams each I want to do a Nick Kostos Drew Dinsick NBA champion draft where we draft tape that we think like so I have the for if I think the thunder are going to be the first picked no matter who has it so we'll go from there in order of teams we think have the best chance to win the championship we'll see who ends up with the better grouping would you like the first pick or should I take the first pick I think I'll happily take the first pick because the thunder is my only bet in the futures market right now that's all yeah okay okay so yeah I'll happily pick more uh but uh but in terms of like wagers that I have made money in the book um I have a pretty sizeable Seattle Seahawks Superbowl winning roll over into thunder title uh that I will be counting on come June uh plus link 45 I think is a bet on that this probably I I mean I haven't talked about dude like can we just you

18:42know like I'll do it later in the show do people understand that the thunder beat the nuggets last night the nuggets are almost fully healthy no patent Watson but otherwise healthy beat the nuggets last night with no J. Dubb with no Chad Holmgren with no Alex Caruso's no problem we just gonna like to win every game no hardstein either it is it is it's preposterous all right so I'm gonna take picks I'm gonna take picks two and three so we said off air right that you think the number two selection is a little difficult it is I actually I actually I really disagree with that I think you get two and three it's a you it's easy if I could only have two I think it's still easy okay then okay and I I think we're gonna disagree on this the number two pick I think has to be the San Antonio spurs has to be spurs and I can't I can't believe I'm saying it like it goes against everything I've said about the NBA for years that it's like I think this is the way I described them yesterday do you remember Danny El Monte who was like they said

19:45was alive and it was it was like 24 he's got like it's not the full beer and he's like blowing kids away in a little league yeah like that's what the spurs are like except except they're not fudging the numbers and they're way ahead of schedule here I'll take the spurs and I'll wow how about this with the three you're gonna disagree with this I'll take Nicole Yokich in the Denver nuggets of three and I will give you the team that you want to take I think it for so you you you have the next two picks yes for me that that I guess just real quick on the spurs if this was like we you get this team for the next five years and you're trying to acute accrue the most titles possible the spurs would have been the number one pick right like the chances that they that the spurs and thunder between those yeah dates right if they make it if they make it to the finals this year like they're early like this is a team that has so much talent at and depth and in the youth movement that you know they're gonna be around as long as one be healthy and you know very easily could flip the thunder as probably as early as next year

20:51but I I need to see them do it in the playoffs first they're gonna have a little bit of a tricky path and and spurs thunder to me feels like very clearly where we're headed in the western comments finals the thunder have a bit of a spurs problem but and that's why I'll take because I think that and I'm curious maybe you disagree maybe maybe you think it's the Celtics and I like to be clear yeah I've said it all year the thunder or my choice so I'm with you on okay see being the team to win the championship but as far as the team is that I think have the best chance to beat the thunder I'll take the spurs over the Celtics but better chance to be don't you see I think that's reasonable only other bet in my book in the futures market Boston Celtics to in the east once upon a time that was eight to one Nick while we're doing while we're doing story time while we're doing once upon a time can I tell you a story also so who's your next pick so Boston and who I'm gonna take another one I'm gonna take the calves only because I don't want great step on the next yeah great oh that's that is very

21:55I'm magnet I will take I'll I'll take the nicks and the and the wolves woo interesting wolves overpressants is a fascinating one um I'm easy easy easy how many more do I get just one or two uh you get two okay I'm gonna take uh I'm I'm tempted to go go weird here and go weird in the east I have a weird one of the east if you don't I have a I have a weird one I'm fascinated few of the same one my weird one in the east is Miami um I think I think I'm not in that weird okay I think Miami is they're extremely well-coached um they actually are relatively well-rounded I I think that they have kind of coached up their depth uh they have shooters who can space the floor uh bam at a bio is playing at an all NBA level all of a sudden love his chemistry with some of the other biggs and some of the lineups that they're rolling out there so yeah for me heat right now uh kind of the intriguing play-in or six

22:59who could sneak their way into a deeper run here in the playoffs and then my kind of wild card in the west is the lakers um obviously obviously obviously this team is much much better without Lebron uh in a world where Lebron just does not does not ready to suit up for the playoffs all the sudden I am feeling super frisky in life uh with the lakers uh as a potential spoiler and the bottom half of the draw I will uh I'll hit you with the crazy and then we'll close with story time um so if say I want I kind of want to take Houston but I don't think Houston ever beats the top teams in the west so I'm not gonna take Houston I'll take a wacky team in the east now this is like caching like a like a parlay at crazy odds pull George comes back oh whoa and be fully listening listen thunder just gonna win but I'm playing in the upside I'll take the sixers so for Drew thunder Celtics calves heat lakers get the bubble the bubble championship
