Drew Barrymore Surprises Ryan Gosling with E.T. Wig

Drew Barrymore brought back nostalgia on Thursday's episode of her show, nearly 45 years after ET. The extra-terrestrial hit theaters, she dressed as her character Gerdy during a chat with Ryan Gosling. Gosling was there promoting his new film, Project Hail Mary, complete with its alien puppet co-star, Rocky. The fun kicked off in a game called Fast Five. Rocky pointed out Barrymore's own history with aliens from ET. Then a classic clip from the 1982 movie played on screen behind them. Gosling could not hide his shock as Barrymore dashed off the couch. She grabbed a wig matching Gerdy's wild hairstyle and plopped it right on. Fans of the film know that look instantly. His reaction was pure gold. Gosling yelled, what is happening, followed by no way, is this really happening? He even cupped his face in disbelief, calling the whole thing surreal.
