Dotson Signs $15M Deal with Falcons

0:00For the NFL, it's March 9th, and here's what's going on. Jahan Dotson, the wide receiver formerly with the Philadelphia Eagles, has agreed to a two-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons. The deal is worth $15 million and could reach $17 million with $10 million fully guaranteed. Dotson joined the Eagles after being a first-round draft pick by the Washington commanders. His time in Philadelphia covered two seasons that did not go as hoped. Over 34 games with the Eagles, he managed 37 catches on 69 targets. That added up to 478 yards, and only one regular season touchdown. Earlier in Washington, Dotson showed more promise. In his first two years there, he grabbed 35 passes for 523 yards and seven touchdowns across 12 games. Then in 2023, he had 49 receptions for 518 yards and four scores. Now with the Falcons, the team plans to spread the ball more under new head coach Kevin Stofanski, giving Dotson a fresh shot to bounce back.
