And Allison, off the air, you were just explaining that going to the coffee shop is your guaranteed little moment of happiness each day. So I want to make sure you're not making the employees at the coffee shop miserable. I found a list of some activities and behaviors. You need to stop doing whenever you go to the coffee shop. I'm so glad you phrased it like that too, because whenever you said like, I want to run through the things that you shouldn't do at a coffee shop. Like number one for me, do not make my baristas mad. Oh, okay. I will protect them. I will defend them. Do you know how much they do for me every single morning? If you are mean to them, I am going to be mean back to you. Well, don't let Allison be mean to you, but go into the counter unprepared. Yeah, that's just sloppy. What are we doing here? Like coffee shops have been around for so long. You need to know. I really think that that rule could go for anywhere you're ordering anything. Do not step up into step up to the plate until you're ready to swing.
Like, no, what you want. One time I went to a Chipotle and the person in front of me was like they were like white or brown rice. And the customer said, well, what's the difference? Oh, my gosh. If you don't know, you don't belong here. It's like you dip one is white. One is brown. Give me a break. You want white rice, too. If you have to ask that question, you want white rice. You want the traditional thing that you've had all the time. Because clearly, you've never had brown rice in your life. Anyway, things that you shouldn't be doing at the coffee shop, these are irritating to customers and the baristas. Using your phone while ordering, you're holding up the line and being rude. Unless you're placing a mobile order and not stressing the baristas out at all, you just send it through their system. That's the only acceptable use of your phone while ordering coffee. Treating the cafe, like your personal office, you ever do that? I have. Yeah. I have, especially whenever I was in college, and like the library would just get a little too stuffy, too many shurs, and so I would go to the coffee shop instead where the vibe
was a little more mellow. But I felt like at that time a lot more people were doing that, like that was a lot more okay. Now the coffee shop is a busier place. People are in and out. It's a rush. You are going to bog the energy down if you just come in there to do your work. When we started this job, I had a thought that I was going to pretty much every day after the show go do work at a coffee shop. I did that exactly one day. And you couldn't handle it. I couldn't. I couldn't. And then I figured out I can't drink coffee late in the afternoon or else I stay up all night. So it's a whole thing. Overcomplicated orders of 10 people are behind you. Go with something real simple. Yeah. If you have a complicated order, that's fine, but you better be placing a mobile order. And finally camping out without buying anything. Don't go in. Just get a cup of ice water. And it's it. What are you doing? That's weird. I know. That would be bizarre, but I'm sure if it had to be on that list, people do it. It's happening.
