DJ Scott Mills Bake Off Episode Delayed Amid Allegations

0:00On April 8th, Channel 4 just dropped a big decision on that celebrity great British Bake Off episode with DJ Scott Mills. They filmed it already for stand-up to cancer, but won't air it now. Mills got sacked from BBC Radio 2 last month over a historic allegation of serious sexual offenses from the late 90s involving a teenage boy. Under 16, the police investigated back in 2016, Mills fully cooperated, but prosecutors closed it in 2019 with no charges due. To lack of evidence, BBC knew about the probe in 2017, yet only fired him recently after learning the alleged victim's age. Channel 4 said they weighed the serious accusations and felt it wasn't right to broadcast at this time. Mills hoped folks would respect his silence since the case is nearly 30 years old and long closed.
