The New Orleans Saints are gearing up for a big push in the 2026 season with Tyler

But they've hit a snag on defense, as promising quarterback Beanie Bishop just got hit with

a three game suspension to start the year.

Bishop joined the Saints on a practice squad deal after the Pittsburgh Steelers cut him.

He never saw game action last season, and now the suspension delays his debut even more.

The league hasn't shared the reason yet.

The team still eye Bishop's strong 2024 performance with the Steelers.

In 17 games and six starts, he racked up 45 tackles, seven passes defended, and four

interceptions, showing real ball-hawking skills.

That talent is why New Orleans signed him to a future contract after a quiet 2025.

Now though, the suspension clouds his roster spot and forces the Saints to scramble early.

Meanwhile, the team might release him or wait it out.

Either way, it adds uncertainty as they build around show and aim higher this season.
