Welcome to the August episode of Season 3 of my podcast, "10,000 Hours and Counting".
Two of the pillars of the spiritual path are discernment and surrender. These are themes that will constantly arise, yet for many people they can feel like incredible hurdles or stumbling blocks. In this episode, I explore how we can bring a lighter and perhaps more helpful perspective to both. I speak about the water element and its many forms, including its mutable nature and its ability to dissolve, loosen boundaries and help us release what is no longer needed on our path. I also explore the essence of fear, particularly the fears that can feel "irrational" because they have no seemingly logical basis in our lives, yet are experienced as very real sensations within the body and mind. These can be points of release and opportunities for healing.
This episode is also about breaking down barriers and boundaries, viewing things through different eyes, and learning that we do not need to know everything now or remain in control of every part of our journey. Sometimes the invitation is simply to trust, surrender and flow.
In this episode
• The beauty of surrender.
• Discernment and knowing what to transform versus what to completely release.
• What going with the flow can mean.
• How fear can be a gateway for healing and when to recognise the type of fear you are experiencing.
Closing
As always, I hope that if something resonates for you in this conversation, you feel inspired to apply it or perhaps open yourself to a new and more supportive way of taking your own unique, courageous soul path journey.
