Welcome back to Challenges of Faith Radio Program. I'm Gary McCann. Thank you for joining here on Episode 3239 of Did You Hear and Say What? Did you hear about Gmail? I know you did. When a database containing a 149 million account user names and passwords, including 48 million for Gmail, 17 million for Facebook, and 420,000 for the cryptocurrency platform by Nance, had been removed after this research or reported the exposure to the hosting provider. So you heard about it. What was done? Remember now there was a longtime security analyst who had discovered the database. His name was Jeremy Fowler. And that was because he couldn't find indications of who owned it or operated so he'd worked to notify the host, which took down the trove because of violated terms of service agreement.

And in addition to the email and social media logins for a number of platforms, Fowler also observed credentials for government systems for multiple countries, as well as consumer banking and credit card logins and media streaming platforms. And what happened was Fowler suspected that the database had been assembled by info stealing malware that infected devices and then used techniques like Keylog into record information that victims typed into websites. What was in result? Because I know you heard about it, say what? Hacker news. You know, they laid it out as it relates to TikTok, how that had formed a new US entity to avoid federal ban. Remember, TikTok had officially announced that it formed a joint venture that would allow the hugely popular video Syrian application. You know that you're on to continue operating the United States.

The new venture named TikTok USDS joint venture LLC had been established and compliance with the executive order signed by US President Trump and September 2025. Remember now it's now in 2026. The new deal is going to see TikTok's Chinese parent company bite dance bit dance to sell the majority of the state to a group of majority American investors while it will retain a 19.9% stake in the business. The Chinese government hadn't commented publicly on the agreement, but the deal ends years of regulatory uncertainty that began in August of 2020. Did you hear about it? Remember, that was based upon national security concerns. Did you hear that one password asked warning for phishing sites, password manager, one password, and added a new security feature that warns users when they're on a phishing or spoof site, and then they're prompted to enter their credentials.

And when a one password user clicks a link with the URL does a master save login, one password won't all fulfill their credentials. It said, you want to use their attempts to paste their credentials. The one password browser extension displays a pop of warning prompting them to pause and exercise caution before proceeding. Did you hear about it? All right, close the script for the day, Galatians 6, verse 1, rather than if a man or woman is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spared to restore such a one, the spirit of gentleness, considering yourself, let's you also be tempted.
