Welcome to the MaryTrump podcast. Let's start it. Punchball News reports it with the DHS shut down now in its fifth week. Senate Majority Leader John soon proposed to deal to fund the department without ice, leaving that fight for a later Republican-only bill.

Soon told Donald that Democrats would accept the compromise which would also get TSA agents paid again. Because remember, TSA agents, the people responsible for keeping us safe and doing security in our airports have not been paid for five weeks. As a result, a lot of agents aren't showing up for work, and that is increasing airport chaos. All of that would be eased by this compromise that the Republicans fund into the Democrats and again that the Democrats were willing to accept. But of course, Donald rejected the plan, insisting Republicans stay in Washington and continue the standoff. Now, you might ask why, because it's a terrible look considering that the Republicans are in charge of everything for security lines at airports to be miles long. Well, because Donald wants to use his refusal to fund the DHS to a deal to pass the Save

America Act, so-called. Donald also warned that he would publicly criticize GOP senators if they left for recess, even suggesting an eastern gathering at the White House that some Republicans reportedly reviewed as a threat. Well, they reportedly reviewed it because it is a threat, because that's what Donald does. He posted the following to his failing social media site quote, I don't think we should make any deal with a crazy country destroying radical left Democrats unless and until they vote with Republicans to pass the Save America Act. It is far more important than anything else we're doing in the Senate, and that includes giving these same terrible people, the Dems, who are to blame for this mess, a $5 billion dollar cut nice funding, a deal which even when disguised as something else is unacceptable to me and the American people, unless it includes their approval of voter ID with picture, citizenship to vote, no mail in voting, with exceptions, all paper ballots, no men in women's sports and no transgender mutilation of our precious children, unquote, he doesn't care about our

children, whether they are male, female or transgender or non-binary, and itting it, medialization is not a word, even though you have become very fond of it, and I have no doubt in my mind that you fully expect Miriam Webster to put it in their dictionary to make you right, even when you are so egregiously wrong, so all of those demands he's making have absolutely nothing to do with whether or not Congress decides to fund DHS so that why American workers can get paid for jobs they are currently doing without pay to keep us safe. Donald thinks that the Save Act is the most important thing because it is the best vehicle through which he can cheat to steal the upcoming midterms for the Republican Party. So that ridiculous rant comes after yet another failed Senate vote last Friday to fund

the Department of Homeland Security, which again has been shut down for almost six weeks now. That shut down, as I said, is already hitting our parts hard, TSA agents. In addition to working without pay, I have serious staffing issues, security concerns or growing. Spring break travel is turning long delays into almost impossibly long delays with warnings that the disruptions could get even worse. In fact, lines are so long it's on airports that people are missing their flights. The way times that American airports have increased significantly due to Donald's DHS shutdown on Monday morning at Lenta's Hardfield Jackson posted the following message, quote, due to TSA staffing constraints, Atlanta is continuing to see longer than normal wait times and security checkpoints. Travelers are encouraged to arrive at least four hours early. We appreciate your patience and thank our federal and airport partners for their continued dedication. Unquote. There is one person and one party to play for this, Donald and the Republican Party.

There was a deal with Democrats to refund DHS with the exception of ICE, which remember has massive funding separately through last year's big abominable bill that gave ICE tens of billions of dollars. So ICE doesn't need any additional funding, however, our TSA agents do. Our FEMA agents do. So when you go to the airport, remember, this is not the fault of those TSA agents who are working without pay to keep you safe. It is the fault of Donald Trump and the Republican Party. But in this case, particularly Donald, because he blew up a deal that was already in place and ready to go so that he can threaten Republicans to continue to push a bill that he believes will help him steal the midterms from the American people to benefit him on Sunday during the midst of this chaos that Donald created. He made the following announcement, quote, on Monday, ICE will be going to airports to

help our wonderful TSA agents who have stayed on the job, but watch, no matter how great a job ICE does, the lunatics leading the incompetent Dems will be highly critical of their work. They will do a fantastic job. The great Tom Homan is in charge, unquote, you mean the great Nazi Tom Homan. He's in charge. Well, that's going to end well. Reporters caught up with Donald on Monday and asked him if ICE will be arresting immigrants at airports. That's why the Democrats are going to crazy because they've allowed, by what they did, and hold up, we put ICE, who are a very high level, I mean, they really are a high level group of people, and they love it because they're able to now arrest illegals as they come into the country. That's very fertile territory, but that's not why they're there.

They're really there to help. A couple of things. A person can't be illegal. You creep. There's that. Okay. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, how about this? Undocumented workers, people who are not in this country legally don't typically hang out at airports. Why? Well, in order to get a plane ticket, in order to get on a plane, in order to get through security, in order to get a boarding pass, you have to show your ID. So in what universe were people who are worried about getting picked up by ICE thugs going to be hanging out in a place where they have to show their ID at least three times? But again, logical consistency is not Donald's forte. ICE, despite this ridiculous rhetoric, does not appear to be helping much. ICE reports show officers standing around in tactical gear with their AR-15s. Just watching the lines move slowly.

They're not actively involved in anything because they have no training for airport security. They're just there to show force. Not ease any of the tension caused by the massive delays. And one could surmise that they're being paid to watch the unpaid TSA workers trying to do their jobs in ever-decreasing numbers because I don't know about you. I would find it very difficult to go five weeks without pay. And here's the thing, as just to be clear, ICE agents are being paid, well paid. And they're standing around doing absolutely nothing to help the beleaguered TSA workers. And it's causing massive amounts of resentment among those unpaid TSA workers. Donald went on to say that he's even willing to bring in the National Guard into the nation's airports for what I don't know. Elon Musk has offered a P-A-T-S-A workers during this D-H-S shut down. Is this something that you've been speaking to him about?

Yeah, I'd love it. I think it's great. Let him do that. And I want to thank ICE because they stepped in so strongly. They'll do great. And if that's not enough, I'll bring in the National Guard. I'm not going to have the Democrats destroy our country. These people are the most destructive, sick people, the Democrats. They want, and they're fighting for this, they're fighting for men in women's sports, they're fighting for transgender for everybody. Everybody go out, get your kid a nice operation, and change the sex of your kid. Why? Why? Is nobody else sick of this? Let me rephrase that. Why are more people sick of this? I know you guys are, obviously, that that, Cretan, can continue to say these wildly untrue and offensive things that don't even constitute answers to the questions he's being asked. Also, why is a private citizen allowed to float the idea of paying TSA agents when our

government should be paying them? And meanwhile, people like Elon Musk and Donald Trump and his useless children are making billions of dollars off the American taxpayer and squandering our harder tax dollars on it. A legal unconstitutional war, what is going on here? And yet reporters just keep asking the same questions and getting the same answers and refusing to do the real work to get to the bottom of what is happening to this country because the person leading it ostensibly is a cruel, petty, vindictive, little bad who has never read the Constitution and doesn't know how American governance is supposed to work and he doesn't care even if he did. The Hill is reporting today that Senate Republicans now believe Donald may be willing to accept a deal to fund the DHS after a White House meeting on Monday night, signaling a possible

shift from his earlier position of refusing any agreement without passage of the Save America Act. According to GOP Senators briefed on the meeting, Donald indicated he could support reopening DHS even if immigration and customs enforcement is not fully funded, which by the way it is. Lindsey Graham, however, was silent about the prospect of whether Donald would agree to break up the Department of Homeland Security funding bill to reopen the Transportation Security Administration and other critical agencies such as FEMA and the Coast Guard. At the meeting where White House borders are, so-called aforementioned Nazi Tom Homan, Deputy Chief of Staff, resident White House Nazi, Stephen Miller, and the newly confirmed formerly stupidest Senator in the Senate, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mark Wayne Mullin, along with Senator Graham, Steve Daines, Bernie Moreno, and Katie Britt.

Again, Graham did not have a lot to say after the meeting was over. Quote, we'll see what happens. I'm not going to say anymore, so leave me alone. Unquote. Wow. Can we get him to be that tightly more frequently? That would be a win for everybody, I think. Please stay tuned because there's more ahead on the Mary Trump podcast. All right, Donald wants this fight. He wants this very public fight because in his mind, it punishes Democrats, it makes him feel tough, although if he uses the word strongly as an adverb, one more time, I may have to drop care care, at least metaphorically speaking, and it helps them. It helps paint Democrats as the reason behind the shutdown, which is absurd on its face since the Democrats control absolutely nothing, and despite the fact that Democrats have offered at least seven resolutions. And it is Republicans and Donald who have denied them every single time. So what is really going on here? Well, here's Jamie Comer saying the quiet part out loud, which is probably the only thing he's useful for. ICE is not there to help the situation, no. No. I'm glad the president's put ICE in there for a multitude of reasons that will drive the Democrats crazy.

Oh, oh wow. Yeah, that's a reason to legislate. So it drives your opposition crazy, not to solve any problems, not to get American workers paid to drive Democrats crazy and implicit in that, inflame the situation so that it becomes unresolvable. Trump has railed against mail-in voting as rigged. He said it's a form of cheating as recently as Monday, but he's also called on Congress to do away with certain types of mail-in voting in certain circumstances. But in yesterday's special election in Florida, he voted by mail, how do you square those two statements? Look, I think some states have handled mail-in balloting well. I think Florida is an example that they don't allow fraud, and they have great systems. I mean, I was talking yesterday, Laurel Lee, one of our colleagues here in the house, and she used to help run elections in the state of Florida, and she talked about how many great processes they have in place to ensure that you don't have a lot of fraud, but that

is not true in other parts of the country, and that is the concern, especially in a state like California, or states where they just send mail-in ballots to everyone for no reason whatsoever. Donald is prepared to keep airport security tied in knots for as long as it takes until he can push through his voter suppression bill. Meanwhile, the Americans, the California Groceries, or gasoline, but this bill will require them to spend almost $200 for a passport they likely don't need, or search for an original birth certificate they likely don't have just so they can vote in November. He spoke to that effort in Memphis on Monday. So I'm tying Homeland Security into voter identification with picture and proof of citizenship in order to vote, and those two items are the most important thing having to do with Homeland Security, so it should be part of the Homeland Security bill, and I'm requesting

that the Republican senators do that immediately. You don't have to take a fairs vote, don't worry about Easter going home, in fact, make this one for Jesus, okay? Make this one for Jesus, that's what I tell him. That's a good thing. Now, Grouchew, I haven't read the New Testament in a while, although I would bet you money I've read the Bible several more times than that idiot has. But last I checked, I mean I could be wrong, maybe this was in the book of Revelations. I don't recall Jesus having much to say about a voter suppression, but maybe like the corrupt illegitimate supermature to the Supreme Court, they just he, he just doesn't want American voters who are Democrats and women and black people to vote. Again, I'm going to reread the New Testament and get back to you on that, because I'm sure there's a lot there that I must have missed the first 10 times right now.

Speaking of the corrupt illegitimate supermature to the Supreme Court, the battle being waged against American voters is alive and kicking. This week, they're poised to throw out mail-in voting, just like Donald and the Republicans want. Here's more. Ends of millions of Americans vote by mail and in every election, a small portion of those ballots cast on time aren't received until after election day. Well, today, the Republican National Committee is arguing that the Supreme Court that those later-riding ballots should be tossed out. 30 states plus D.C. have laws that allow the counting of some of those ballots, a grace period, if you will, Republicans say that policy is rife for fraud without providing evidence. They say that federal law requires the election to be on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, and that counting ballots that arrive after that time are illegal. Now, Mississippi, which is defending the law and the ability to count some later-riding

ballots that were postmarked by election day, says this simply isn't right, that states get to set their own policy, that the meaning of election is making the choice and submitting the ballot, not necessarily that it was received or counted. And this all comes as President Trump is pushing in his own words to lead a movement to get rid of mail ballots. So the Supreme Court is hearing this case on the eve of the midterm elections. Its decision has the potential to upend voting policies in more than half the country. I know that this is not on Vogue in the Trump regime, but let's apply a little logic to this. If you vote by mail in advance of the election, didn't you vote on or before election day? Right? Let's say you're partial to in-person voting, and you go to your polling place and you cast your ballot. And the poll workers responsible for counting the votes don't get to counting your vote

until two or three days later. Did you vote on or before election day? So how is it your fault or responsibility? How are you failing in your constitutional responsibility to cast that vote if it doesn't get counted on time because it either got lost in the mail or because of the huge volume of votes cast in person, it wasn't counted on election day. Again, logic, not a strong suit here. This is just the Supreme Court, the corrupt illegitimate, Supreme majority of the Supreme Court, once again, doing Donald's bidding because they want him and him alone, or Republican president alone, to be a unitary executive with no limits on his power. I think that's pretty clear here. I think the only argument in favor of mail-in voting, I mean, there are many, many, many,

many of them. But the Republicans, of course, are not operating a good faith because they never do. But I think what should put an end to this issue is the fact that the person most vocally against mail-in voting just voted by mail, right, Donald? Yeah. Donald wants the chaos that we're seeing at American airports because he wants to put pressure on Republicans to use the nuclear option to get rid of the filibuster so they only need 50 votes, 51 votes, to push through the save act, which again has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not the Department of Homeland Security gets funded and whether or not TSA agents get paid. He is not going to stop and things aren't going to stop getting worse unless an until a deal is made. This report from the Landon News first at Hartfield, Jackson Airport just so you get a sense

of how bad things already are and how much worse they could get in the coming days of this. ICE agents and Homeland Security Investigations Officers arrive to Hartfield, Jackson, Atlanta International Airport this morning. The Department of Homeland Security finalized a plan overnight to deploy them to airports nationwide, aimed at supporting TSA operations during the shutdown and easing security backups. But at ATL today, travelers say they're not seeing an impact. But they're here they're not helping, I mean, but I didn't expect them to either. What was their job? They can't do anything for help people, they're not trained in it. Line stretched outside the terminal, some waiting more than an hour just to get inside. Airport officials advise travelers to arrive at least four hours before departure. Airport workers now on the fourth day of mass security backups are feeling the burden. There's a lot of chaos in here. I came maneuver through this, I don't know what to do. When ICE come, I don't know how it's going to turn out.

Hope is no chaos. Traveler Amy Schwartz worries the added law enforcement presence could raise tensions. TSA workers need the help, but ISIS is the answer. I think just the massive people, I think there's always tension already and to turn around in their ice in it when everything's happening around around the, you know, our states and everything. It's just I think just bad energy, honestly. Let's give them the benefit of doubt and just assume that it's a huge coincidence that every bit of footage there of ICE agents just happen to show that while they were on their breaks. Now, let's not give them the benefit of the doubt. These are all fascist thugs who are there for one reason and one reason only to make people afraid. So we're going to keep our eye on this because, as I said, this is not ending anytime soon. Thanks for listening and please stay tuned because there's more coming up on the Maritron podcast.

We've attempted in good faith numerous times, both the president himself and lawmakers on the Republican side on Capitol Hill to go to the Democrats with reasonable offers, with real solutions.

They'll ask for something. We'll give them that concession and then they say, oh, wait, that's not enough, actually. So I think that's why I said earlier, the cruelty is the point. They want this chaos. They want to distract, I think, from the success of our military overseas right now, totally obliterating the Iranian regime. And it's very unfortunate because there's only the only people that are suffering from this are the American people. And I hear that Democrats might be flying out of town tomorrow. How convenient and lovely of them that they get to go to the airport and that they'll get to go home to their families. When you have families, TSA workers who are suffering.
