Deputy Shoots Suspect After Blount County Shooting

The suspected shooter fired at a responding deputy before he was later found dead. Deputies rushed to the Hayden area along Mountain Lake Road after getting a call about the shooting. That's when the suspect opened fire on one of them. The deputy returned fire but came away unhurt and the suspect fled the scene. Multiple agencies jumped in, including local, state and federal teams to track down the suspect. So far, officials have not released the names of the victim or the suspect.
