Before you dive into all the busyness and to-dos of your day, let's take just 10 minutes to clear some mental space and declutter the mind to ensure you can move forward feeling focused, calm, and energized. So settle into a nice comfortable position, elongating your spine, rolling your shoulders up, back, and down, and then gently close your eyes. Take a nice deep breath in, filling all the way up into your chest, and a slow, sighing
exhale back out, softening the muscles of your face, unclenching your jaw. Relaxing your shoulders, your chest, your back, your hips. Allowing a sense of ease and calm in the body to begin guiding the mind to a similar space.
And as you sit here, you might notice your mind already racing. Maybe there are thoughts about your to-do list, a conversation from yesterday, or a lingering worry. And all of this is perfectly fine and natural. Your mind is designed to spot problems and help you solve them. So the first step to decluttering the mind is thanking it for all of its hard work. And instead of trying to fight them away, I invite you to visualize each thought as a cloud in the sky.
All thoughts are temporary and passing, just like the clouds. So take a moment to select and look at one specific thought cloud. And acknowledge what it is. Where it's coming from and what need or desire it serves.
Appreciate that it's here for you. While also recognizing that it's not serving you here in this moment. So to clear that thought cloud away, take a deep, purposeful breath in. And as you exhale, envision a strong, steady stream of air moving through the sky and pushing that cloud towards the horizon. And as the wind of your breath blows through the cloud, it gently breaks it apart, sending it further and further
until it's a tiny speck. And then it's gone across the horizon. Now try that again, noticing another thought cloud there in the sky. Acknowledging it and where it came from. Thanking it. And then taking a deep breath in and exhaling to send that cloud sailing far across the sky.
Moving the clutter and leaving more open blue space. Now that you know this process for yourself, I invite you to repeat it a few more times on your own. And with each breath and each thought cloud you blow off into the distance, your mental sky becomes more clear, less cluttered, more spacious.
Such that there's now room for you to choose how you want to be, how you want to feel, and what you'd like to focus on today. And taking one last deep breath in, holding at the top for just a second. Before you let it all go, nice and easy without any force.
Slowly beginning to bring yourself back to the room, maybe wiggling your fingers and toes to bring a little life to your body. And whenever you're ready, opening your eyes to the day ahead. I thank you for joining me. And now your mind is clear and free of clutter. Your focus is sharp and you're ready to make this a fantastic day.
