Deadly Crash Involves Police, Pedestrian on Highway 31

0:00Birmingham's story is making news on March 13th. Collar police are investigating a deadly crash on Highway 31 that involves several cars, a Birmingham police patrol car, and a pedestrian. The incident happened last Friday, March 6, around 11.30pm, just north of Highway 70, where David Lee Rogers Jr. was, pronounced dead at the scene. Local citizens rushed to help by giving first aid to Rogers before officers arrived. The Shelby County Traffic Homicide Task Force is now leading the probe with the District Attorney's Office assisting Collar police. Chief David Haichi says the case is still active, and they offer deep condolences to Rogers' family while thanking those who tried to save him. More details will come later.
