DC Men Charged with Murdering Neighbor in Brutal Attack

Rico Barnes, 36 in Alfonso Walker, 39 allegedly followed Hussein home on February 11, beat him with dumbbells, choked him, with ties, and even burned his body after he died from blunt-force trauma and strangulation. Hussein had just picked up food and let the pair inside his loft-style place on Rhode Island Avenue, thinking they were neighbors. They ransacked the spot, grabbing laptops in his phone, then set a small fire that filled the condo with smoke before cops put it out. Hussein's uncle called the loss devastating, saying his nephew lived a happy life and was always generous. The murder hit hard in a nice building like Dazinath, where a half million dollar condo should feel safe.
