It's April 22nd. Welcome in. This is Entertainment and Celebrity News, where pop culture meets AI. I'm Cory with the story. Rock and Roll legend Dave Mason, founding member of the 60s Prague Rock Band, Traffic, and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, passed away on April 19th, 2026, at his home in Gardnerville, Nevada. He was 79 years old. Earlier this year, in 2025, Mason had to cancel all his tour dates after facing some serious health challenges. He shared on social media that recovery would be a long road, but his love for the fans ran deep. Mason left a huge mark on music, jamming with icons like Jimmy Hendrix, Paul McCartney, and the Rolling Stones. He penned the soulful track, Feeling All Right, which Joe Cocker turned into a massive hit back in 1969 and his solo ballad We Just. Disagreeed top charts in 1977. He survived by his wife and partner, Winiford Wilson, daughter Danielle, nephew John Leonard, niece Michelle Leonard, and brothers-in-law Sloan.
Wilson and Walton Wilson. He was preceded in death by his son Tru and sister Valerie Leonard. Mason's guitar riffs and songwriting will echo through generations, reminding us how one artist's groove can shape the sound of Rock Forever.
