Darlene Vogel Clarifies Back to the Future Stunt

Fans have assumed she got seriously hurt during the hoverboard chase scene said in 2015. In reality, it was her stunt double, Cheryl Wheeler, who suffered the injuries while crashing into the Hill Valley Clock Tower. The sequence involved four stunt performers tethered together, meant to smash through candy glass and land on pads. But they drifted left at the last second, slamming Wheeler into a column before she dropped 20 feet onto concrete. She broke bones in her face and right arm and got a concussion.
