The cut opens with the exact question Philadelphia must answer: what will Sirianni and Mannion do differently in 2026? Sileo asks what the Eagles' new offense will actually improve, argues Philadelphia is abandoning its physical identity, and evaluates Hurts, Barkley, DeVonta Smith and the defensive front.
phrase it this way. And I want to put it up this way here.
This 2026 offense that you guys are expecting. What exactly? Are you
expecting to see from Nick Sirionion, Sean Manion? What exactly? Do you
think you're going to see this year with this new offense? What are they going to
do different that they did a year ago? There's a decent word balance. More points.
More points with lesser players. More points with lesser players. I want to see
creativity from Manion and for Nick to stay out of the way and just manage the
game. That ain't happening.
Reverting back to the run game. Okay. I'm expecting to see garbage from Nick and Manion.
I guarantee defensive coordinators staying up late worrying about the Eagles offense.
Ultra cowboy. This is kind of what I'm at. What makes me afraid of the Eagle
offense in 26? That's different from a year ago. What am I the most concerned about?
What exactly will they do to improve the team with the same personnel of a year
ago? Actually, lesser personnel. The unknown. Okay. Which will have 800 yards and seven
touchdowns. Jalen would give him an opportunity because of his size. Jalen likes big athletic
receivers. So Ricardo, which is going to triple his career numbers in filling in your opinion?
And you want to hear something? Even if he does do that, your passing game will be worse than a year
ago. The Eagles should have got Joe Milton and cut Andy Dalton to backup Jalen hurts. Too bad
he's back with the cowboys. I'm hoping a top five running game, top 12 or so passing and hoping
for consistency on third down in the red zone. Overall, consistency is what I hope for answers
for hurts would be nice to that. Here, I'll tell you what I'm expecting here in a second.
Hoping Manion brings some of the first and third down success with him from Green Bay.
That expecting our offensive numbers to jump off the board, but we could put together drives would be solid.
Defences have caught up with simplified stuff and elite talented Frost and on. So I hate this mentality here,
Jam. I'll tell you why nobody caught up with you in 2024. You ran people over because you were just
tougher and better and bigger and stronger. There was nothing special. You just ran people over.
I'm running you over. It's like a George Foreman haymaker. Nobody caught up with George Foreman
over 25 years. He threw a right hand and knocked you out. You think anybody ever caught up with
George Foreman? No, they never caught up with his power. He knocked you out the same way he knocked
you out when he was 25 when he was 45. He was knocking you out. That's who you are.
My problem again, what I don't like is you're coming out of your identity. Your identity is to run
people over. Your identity is to beat people up. Now you don't want to beat people up anymore. Now you
want to be more, quote, balanced. Now you want to spread the ball around and be more finesse.
You really want to go from being a team that kicked the shit out of people and took people's
pants down and spank them across the league to being a spread offense. Why? Why?
I'd rather kick the shit out of you that sit there and try to fight you. I'm going to try to knock
the shit out of you with one or two or three punches. I don't want to sit in a ring for four quarters
that gives the other team an opportunity to beat me. Why would I keep you in the game with me when I
can knock you out? Catching up with you. And by the way, that line that Nick did say,
and what how he said, we had to come up with a different vision. Well, what vision is this?
Is this Jailin's vision or Nick's vision?
Well, you could catch up to a below average passing easily. Just forced them to throw for four quarters.
It's actually quite funny. You know what you can't catch up with? A run game.
A run game. There is no stopping a run game. You could stop a passing game. You can't stop a run game.
It's impossible. It's impossible. Do you know? Do you know what it was? Hey, in 2024,
we'll get Mike Gallup on here at the bottom of the hour 330 Eastern.
Do you know what playing against the football team like to 24 eagles is like?
It's like having one hand tied behind your back and nothing you can do about it when you're in that fight.
There's no fighting it.
It's like you have the white flag. You're just getting killed.
They're running you off the scoreboard. They're running you off the time.
They're just kicking the shit out of you.
I mean, they just beat the shit out. Hey, by the way, this is a great take.
Denver had one of the laziest offenses I've seen since the Eagle Aze offense. Just run the ball.
Right, and get this and they beat people up.
As a matter of fact, they beat the eagles up.
I mean, you run the football. You run the football.
You run the football. Let me see what they did last year.
Rushing.
Broncos were 16. What were they in passing?
They were 11th and in total Broncos were 10th with bone X with bone X.
Hey, get this approach is antiquated. Running the balls never antiquated from 1920 till 2025.
If you have the predominant running game, you're going to win every fucking game you're in.
Every game you're in.
It sells. I know we both agree that things haven't looked the best just yet, but it's tough to criticize at this time until we see what this team looks like.
Yeah, Burger. I don't disagree with this take. I really don't. But what I do disagree is it's the same approach as last year. Would you not agree?
Whether you're going to try passing the ball or you're going to run the ball. You're doing it with someone who's never done it.
I mean, it's two guys that have never done this.
Okay, here. I'm going to show you. I'm going to show you something here. Let me show you something here.
Watch this. I'll show you how ridiculous this person is here.
Okay.
Okay, let's see here.
Let's go here rushing. Hold up here. Let me let me go over here.
Go to defense.
Show you this.
Okay.
Defense and rushing defense. Okay. Guys, teams that could stop the run. Okay.
Teams that could stop the run. Here's who those teams were ranked last year. Jaguars, playoff team.
One, Broncos, playoff team. Two, C-Ox, playoff team. Three, Texans, playoff team. Four, Patriots, playoff team. Five.
Chargers, playoff team. Seven. Seven of the top 10 rushing defense of football teams that could stop the run.
We're in the playoffs. And the teams that can run the ball. Five of the top 10 were in the playoffs.
And let's take a look at the passing of a year ago. When it comes to those same numbers.
Okay. Let's see here. Passing.
Rams number one. Cowboys two. Lines didn't make the playoffs.
Bengals didn't make the playoffs. Cardinals didn't make the playoffs. Colts didn't make the playoffs.
Niners did. And the Bears did. Three of the top 10 teams in the passing made the playoffs.
The Bears whooped our ass running the ball. So you speak facts. Every team that beat the Eagles last year ran a ball down your throat.
Sills, man, it's goals. Should be sustaining drives. Keep the D fresh in the fourth quarter like you said.
Sills have never called. Sills. He's never called plays. Will he be on the field or in the box in your opinion? I don't know.
Instead of knocking heads every down, which should help the O line to yes.
They probably ran something unlike. Guys. Like I said, in the in the serianny era.
Jeff Stoutland has had a top five rushing attack in every year, but one.
Last year. Every year, but one. And that's antiquated. I'll promise you this.
As soon as he's able to become an offensive line coach, he'll be the hottest commodity in the most.
Wanted offensive line coach. Maybe an NFL history. When he's able to pick his team next. If he so chooses to coach again.
I could promise you this. Chris Cooper won't be a guy that people will be fighting for like they weren't this year.
Jeff Stoutland, they will be.
It all comes down to first down success. Staying on schedule. We had a bad third down con conversions last year because of the lack of success on first and second down.
Kyle, I'll make this point to you. Don't be shocked if Jeff Stoutland goes to New York and gets on that coaching staff with.
John Harball. I wouldn't be shocked.
Shills, they need to get back. So get let's look at Emreas.
And he won't have the same success that he had here because he built the trenches better than most. Also Cooper was the back of looking good.
How are the backups looking good when you average 78 yards in your three preseason games.
And on top of that. I've only heard Lane Johnson, Jordan Melata,
Lane DeDecorson and Camp Jurgens say they would never be the players they were ever if Stoutland hadn't coached them.
So you can believe the players or Emreas.
I think the idea is not to run less just in different ways.
Do why SS? Why in God's name? Am I going to try to trick somebody when I can beat you up?
I'm not going to trick you to beat your ass up.
Okay.
Were were in FL is Stout Miami Tampa Bay Jacksonville. Best of both words for Stout.
Boy him with Tristan worse would be great.
While with Tristan worse Tristan worse and Jeff Stoutland.
That'd be awesome.
Rance calling the new O-line. Great is just dumb. You don't know how good he is for a couple of years.
Course he's great. It's the same guy who thought Kevin Batulla was great last year. He said it.
Seemless transition. Go back and watch him.
Seemless transition.
Seems would you run the ball based on the weakness of the D line we play that week?
Well here.
That's a great question.
That's a great question.
So.
Commanders.
I'm running the football down their throat.
I'm running it down their throat.
The commanders were 30th and have done very little this year.
Very little.
The Titans even though they've got Jeffrey Simmons.
You got to remember something.
He's one man.
They were still 15th in the run game.
The Rams.
The Rams were 12th in rushing defense.
They got Donald back.
What that Aaron Donald going to look like.
I'd still run the ball.
The Bears.
Rushing defense.
The Bears were 27th.
My first four football games.
I'm not throwing the football.
I'm running the football down their throat.
I'm not going to sit around and look for balance.
Why in God's name would I look for balance when there's not one redeeming football team
that has done anything at improving their run defense
that you're going to have on the first four games of the season.
Why would I want to throw the football?
Unless it's ego.
Those first four games.
You're not playing anybody who could stop the run.
I'm running a fucking football 35 times in every ball game.
If my old line is truly back.
I want to see those other teams prove to me that they've been proved enough
in their run defense.
And it'll prove to you that your old line's back.
I got your text this morning.
Dude, it was too early for me.
What if the birds make them chase sideline to first two and three quarters and then run down?
Why do you want to be like tricky?
I'm not ripping you dude.
Run the football man.
See this right here?
So get this.
We're throwing it versus Tennessee.
You need to see what it looks like.
According to RC, he wants to keep you the Titans or the commanders in the ball game longer.
So he can see what the passing game looks like.
So you'll keep the commanders in the game in his way of thinking
because you're going to have three in outs.
And you're going to keep the commanders in the game by throwing it.
That's called situational play calling.
We beat them comfortably.
Just open it up a little.
That's not situational play calling.
If I've got an advantage over you, I'm going to exploit it.
I'm not going to dick around and do some stupid shit.
That's how you would call that game.
And let's spread it out a little bit and see what we got in the passing game.
Instead of running down the throat of a team that finished 30th and rushing defense.
What if the bird, what if the birds make these chase sideline to first and third quarters and
then run it down their throats Lane Johnson said, dude.
Run the football.
I don't care how it looks, man.
The commanders are 30th.
It's 30th.
Okay, get this.
This is what this guy thinks I'm doing here.
If you're playing against a 30th rank, run fucking defense and probe football.
Are you throwing it?
Yes or no?
Now, are you throwing the ball?
Anybody?
Anybody?
Are you throwing the ball?
Hold on.
Oh my god.
Look, I'm just going to start scooting over folks.
Yeah, you're right, Sue.
Time to cut that off.
I agree, sales.
Gay plan has to be different depending on the opponent.
Correct.
Every week is a different conversation.
Everything does it and it's not based on every single thing.
It's okay?
If you're playing, get this.
If you know a team has a deficiency and they're not very strong at it.
You attack weakness.
Do you not?
You don't throw the ball.
Which you're horrible at already.
So get this.
Guys in here like,
Rast and some of these other guys are seeing.
They want to do something they're shitty at.
Instead of something they're great at.
Okay.
Hey guys, that's all you need to know.
And that's why we, again,
every time we roll to those guys,
it's great that we can make a point.
No coordinator in his right mind would ever think this way.
Nobody does something that is lesser for them to do
and give the other team an opportunity to stay in ball games.
Sales Liars Month, you taught me that week four at home versus the Rams defensive front.
I hope our online has to scheme down by then sales
who wins the trenches in that game.
Boy, that's going to be a great one.
Okay.
That's going to be a tough one.
I look, I think the Rams have a,

Better front than the Eagles' All Line.
And I think the Eagles have a better D line than the Rams' All Line.
So that's what's going to make that game interesting.
I believe there's no doubt that Rams are better.
The Rams are better up front than the Eagle All Line.
However, the Eagles' D line is better than the Rams' All Fets of Line, in my opinion.
So in a league so predicted on passing,
2024 was what made us so dominant.
Eagles had an identity.
Need to run the ball and control the clock,
and dominating on the All Line.
You want a Super Bowl with a quarterback throwing the ball for 18 touchdowns.
And 29 hundred yards.
That is so insane.
That's so crazy to think
that you won that amount of football games with that limited passing game.
It just shows you how dominant you were in your defensive approach,
and also in your offensive line approach.
It shows what if they think beating defenses up,
tore up the All Line and health, and wear a tear as well.
Okay, well it did.
Now what are you saving?
Dude, your All Line is never coming back to 2020.
24.
You don't have the same personnel that you once had.
He had 18 passing touchdowns.
I hope our All Line isn't in and out of the line up.
That's a big worry.
So I think blue would be a good kick returner for us this year.
Damn, dude, I want somebody who's confident back there.
Give me Britain Covey again.
Until you can find a better replacement for him, I'll take Britain Covey.
Kobe Turner Aaron Donald against landed in Jurgens coming off their injuries.
I don't like that matchup.
Laney couldn't handle Milton Williams.
And by the way, let me see something on Kobe Turner.
I think he came out the same year that, I don't know, I think he was a year later.
Kobe Turner.
Adam, was it Wake Forest for the Rams?
Like a third or fourth rounder?
Kobe Turner.
Let's see what Kobe Turner has done.
Let me see Ben and League.
This will be his fourth season.
Let's take a look at this defensive tackle.
And how well he's played.
56 tackles.
Nine sacks.
Eight TFLs.
Last 24, eight sacks.
62 tackles.
Last year.
Seven sacks.
50 tackles.
Tell you what.
And he's played nose tackles first year.
This guy's outplay Jordan Davis for sure.
This guy's got 24 tackles in three years.
Playing inside, outside, he's played nose tackle and end.
What's his size?
300 pounds, 62.

24 sacks in three years.
How many sacks so far has Jordan Davis gotten?
I think he's eligible for a contract this year.
See Jordan Davis's numbers here.
Jordan Davis has got eight sacks in four years of play.
Sales to your point yesterday about why take on Nick Vagant,
Kyle Shanahan's offense when we beat them.
Well, we could, well, it could be to our advantage knowing that the efficiencies within
the type of offense because of Vic. That's a good spin.
Okay.
Sales the Eagles defense is fine.
How we need to focus on getting talent for the old line.
Sales are off and our court.
Sales of course, Donald is a freak of nature physically, but how do you think
that'll translate and that putting Pat?
I, that's a great take.
I'm not, I'm not telling you dude.
I don't know how that's going to be.
Jordan Davis is a two-down football player.
Jason team, that would be great.
We usually run early in the, oh, okay.
The passing game has to be as good as the run game this season,
which would be for the first time in history of the Eagles under Serionning.
Okay.
Okay, so he wants to work on it in the Tennessee, the commander game.
I've never heard such an approach from any coach good or bad.
So, some worried about the Rams defense of front.
They said Donald is in better shape now than last year he played.
No, still dude.
When you're, we'll ask Mike Gallic that.
Dude, you know, when you're away from the game like that
and you haven't played or you haven't practiced like that.
I, I'm telling you man, when you're not hitting people,
I don't care how many fucking treadmills you're on.
I don't give a shit about treadmills or any of that stuff.
When you're not playing the game, that's a thing dude.
That'll game an interview on Sunday.
He's been getting ready to play for the last five months.
I, I, again, I completely agree with you.
I think he's going to be a good football player still.
Okay.
I do.
But that's right.
Leon, it's like football shape.
Get this.
Get this.
There's no NFL football team right now in football shape.
There's no team.
Such is an Eagle thing.
There's no team in football shape.
That doesn't exist any longer.
That's why it's Liars month.
I mean, back in the day, we had six preseason football games
and the majority of the starters would start.
I played against John L.A.
John L.A. was in Denver, obviously, right?
He played three quarters and it was the third exhibition game.
He played three quarters of football.
I played against um,
who did I play that day?
I played against Montana in the regular season and I played against him in the preseason.
Joe played four quarters in the preseason.
Those guys were football ready.
Nobody's football ready anymore.
Okay.
You're not in, you're not in foot.
Hey, see this?
Football shape.
How are you in football shape when you haven't played a football game?
It's just BG had a torn tricep and came back at the end of the season.
It's still produced.
I don't know, but that's Aaron Donald.
Didn't retire.
Heard it all.
Times change.
And things remain the same.
Last year, a lot of people were saying that hunt and Nolan were going
to be elite and then how we had to trade for Phillips.
And Grenard's injury, nobody knows when he's coming back.
Oh, hunt as completely taken over Nolan Smith's position
in where he is in the organization.
Nolan is looked as the second guy now.
Hunt was the third dude two years ago.
Now he's the first guy without Grenard's availability.
Nolan would have been the rotation piece.
But I wonder if that really would have happened
because of the way how he handles his draft picks.
Mackay Lemon is going to start against the commanders.
And Mackay Lemon has no right being on a football field right now.
But he's going to start because how he controls the roster.
Nick doesn't.
Remember I said this and you know what?
I want you guys to kill me.
That Sunday, okay?
Or Monday.
The Monday show you can kill me.
When the commanders play the Eagles and Philly,
I guarantee you, Mackay Lemon is starting unless they come up with some bullshit injury.
And he's not able to play.
He's starting in that football game.
And that'll tell you what's it for all.
Nick has no say who starts on his football team.
None.
And guy has done nothing to deserve an opportunity to play.
Or see playing time.
How about this?
What do you make of this question?
If Mackay Lemon was a defensive back, would Vic start him or play him?
The answer's no.
He wouldn't play him.
But on offense, Nick's going to play him.
Because how he wants him to play.
Okay?
Everybody keeps telling me Jordan is the only only a two down player.
But Brandon Graham and Cobb tell me he can play three downs.
I listen to those guys.
Okay, well, Kim, why hasn't he?
Here.
Those guys say he could be a three down guy?
I'd say here 2000 and how many snaps?
How many snaps?
Did Jordan Davis play in 2025?
For the Eagles?
Cal she's own CEO says it himself.

He played 80.

Yeah.
87.
Wake me up Kim at a 687 snaps.
Wake me up when he plays on third down.
Your right sales lemon will start.
But how can they leave him out there knowing he's not ready for week four?
We'll see folks.
I'll tell you this.
September's liars month in the NFL nowadays.
Slires month.
You know why?
Because back in the day, I was just telling you,
Mike Gullick and I played six exhibition games.
I played against John L. Way for three quarters in a preseason game in Denver.
Not doing that stuff anymore.
That's why the first month of September, I've labeled it liars month.
Well, speaking of Mike Gullick,
man, it is great to hear him back on the radio.
I don't think Mike wanted to get up any longer like a vampire.
And he wanted to do morning drive.
So I think Mike said, I'll tell you what, if you scoop me a little forward with my kid,
I think I'll be able to do it.
It'll give me a decent life.
